If RDS announces and comes out swinging...

This campaign to me is going to come down to a couple things. And ultimately it is between Don and Ron. All the other nominees are just fillers which more than likely help Trump.
But I don't think DeSantis announces until after the legislative session, which would be in June. I would give him about a 30% chance right now. However if he comes out spitting fire and goes much further to the right than Trump on the following issues
1) Covid/vaccines
2) Immigration
3) Globalism
4) ESG
5) Shrimking the federal government
6) MIC and the CIA
7) Big tech and AI
8) Transhumanism
9) American surveillance state/ FBI
10) Mistreatment of Jan6ers and other American Citizens
I think he would overtake Trump. If he turns out to be NeoCon Paul Ryan type on these issues, he is basically done. I think it pretty much comes down to that, anything else is just noise.

Honestly think he is missing a good opportunity right now to voice some opposition to the never ending support for Ukraine. Doesn't have to be a major address, just some off the cuff remarks about how we need to make sure its really in our interest to just send Ukraine a blank check and escalate this thing to WW3 status. etc.

I'm not sure what substance is left in this issue. It's just one of those run your mouth a lot and not have to actually do anything.

This is one I'll be interested to see DeSantis' position on. I'm sure he'll beat his chest about the bussing theatrics, but if he runs the usual establishment tripe about "comprehensive reform", he's an open borders guy.
3 through 9, I'd be surprised if he makes any substantive promises. I strongly suspect DeSantis is being pushed by money and money is pushing most of those things.
As for 10, it's another chance to run his mouth and do nothing at all.
Ron will likely beat his chest about Disney and shipping immigrants out of Florida and then you'll get a lot of crafty talking around issues. He's a smart man and a smart politician and he'll know how to present himself as some fiery, yet polished, MAGA alternative. But I don't expect anything concrete because he's being backed by globalist finance and most of those issues directly attack them.

Several RINOs with zero chance of winning the nomination (Haley, Pence, Christie, Hogan, etc.) will announce. RDS will announce after them, and as they each quit the race, they will endorse RDS and say Trump is unelectable. It's already scripted - the RINO-Deep State cabal is desperate to stop Trump.

If that were to happen, that would be the death knell for DeSantis. If I am on team DeSantis, that is the last thing I want happening.
I'm still in wait and see mode. As of now DeSantis has not announced. As of now Trump is producing a bunch of hot air about DeSantis that isn't really sticking. Trump does have his solid base, which is formidable and will be difficult to overcome.
I'm willing to wait to see what and how DeSantis campaigns and does in debates. If he comes out with substitive solutions to the major threats facing American sovereignty and freedom, I am likely going to lean towards DeSantis. If it comes off as fake and manufactured, I will likely go back towards Trump and see what he can do in one more term.
But one thing for me, is I absolutely refuse to just hand the nomination over to anyone, and everyone else should have the same mindset. I can't stand this "it's his turn" BS.

I can't remember, but doesn't Desantis have to step down as gvnr first? If so, the surprise of "coming out swinging" won't be there.

So, he just needs to lean more to the right than a New York liberal?
Not sure if he can pull that off.

I expect DeSantis to follow Ted Cruz’s initial strategy in dealing with Trump. If you recall during the 2016 race Cruz was very non-confrontational with Trump at the beginning and often stood up for him during the debates.
That all ended when Trump invented the Lyin Ted moniker and went after Cruz’s wife

The fact of the matter is we don't know his full fledged stance on immigration, Ukraine, and Globalism.
Those are bread and butter issues for Trump. If he goes further to the right on those issues, then it is game on. If he just sticks with red meat social issues and standard Republican talking points about dept and taxes, it's not enough.

Frankly, I don't particularly care.
And this...

...is why.
Trump has been able to drum up support from this stupid shite because he talks a big game and the grifted don't know any better.

The more folks running, the better for Trump.
Other candidates will siphon RDS’ votes.

If he were to do any of that he would be destroyed by his party and the agencies. It's not happening, ever.

No, they are the largest issues facing THIS COUNTRY.
Your voluntary ignorance of them speaks volumes about you, however.

“These vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality,” DeSantis said during a news conference in St. Petersburg. “I can tell you that we’re going to end up having over 95% of folks that end up seriously ill from this point on are going to be people who are not vaccinated. And so, that’s the single most important thing that people can understand.”
I also like my leaders to send illegals out of the country not INTO the country like the Tx and Fl govs did.

No, they aren't. Most of the lemmings who get worked up about them can't even articulate what their issues are.

I don't give a frick about this, either, and I never will.

Why wont you respond to my question of who you supported in 2016+2020? Seems like you are avoiding this

Which is probably why you hear the rumors Trump will go after Casey DeSantis.
Trying to force him into the mud while further alienating white suburban women.

If you don't understand that border being wide open as a fricking major issue then maybe you are the lemming.
