Living in the coldest habitable place on earth

The algorithm showed me this youtube channel that has an assortment of videos breaking down aspects of everyday life in Yakutia, which is in northern Siberia, where they have 7 months of winter where the average temps are in the -50's.
Really is wild that people are living like this.

Have you watched Life Below Zero?

I don’t have time to watch the video. Just tell me why people are living there. What ultimately supports their ability to exist there?

Their definition of "habitable" is rather fluid.

Nah, I'm good.
I'm not here trying to lecture people on shite, just passing along something I found interesting.

How are they even outside at -95°F? I guess if this is all you know it seems normal.

I clicked on the first video and now I what a UAZ Hunter Expedition (SUV). Seems its only about $20,000 US. I'm sure shipping and then maintenance is a bitch but I like.

Screw that, makes me cold just watching a little of the videos.

Showed me the same suggestion. I didn’t watch but the algorithm must be pushing this channel.

Thanks for posting. I love this kind of stuff (esp cold weather living) There's more to the world than the way we live.
Arian's mom is kinda hot.

There is a documentary called Happy People - A Year in Tiaga. It is about the people live in Siberia. It was pretty interesting and provided some insight on how they survive. I remember a scene where someone running for political office visited the area, and how unusual that was for them since they were so rural and didn’t have many voters.
