Sure it can...same way Oxycontin was tamed....crack down on the doctors that over prescribe it. If you don't think there are what people would consider "decent" doctor's out there running adderall pill mills then I don't know what to tell you.

If overdosing on Adderall was as prevalent as overdosing on opioids is we wouldn't be talking about this right now because it would already be done.

It’s just like any other drug addiction. Only difference is that the user has convinced themselves it’s ok because a doctor prescribed it and it’s legal. Next step is he’ll complain about trouble sleeping and get prescribed Valium

i mean he has to decide. adderall is no different from caffeine, coke, meth etc....the guy has to want to get off. the amount he is taking is kind of insane though for sure.

Next step Meth

Adderall is basically a synthetic substitute for meth. I've heard of recovering meth addicts replacing their addiction with Adderall.

Exactly. In my opinion skipping days, like weekends, to build up a supply to be able to take 4 or 5 a day during the week isn't a healthy solution. Another problem is I don't think he could simply get out of bed and mow his lawn on a Saturday morning if he didn't take one. That's another thing. When he's out and it's the weekend and he didn't have to work he's in bed until noon or so. Backaches, muscle pain, pretty much textbook withdrawal symptoms. It's a damn mess.

truth...

well, before they started doing this, they started cracking down on the manufacturers, drug distributors and pharmacies to decrease availability and hoarding of large quantities of pills...

this has begun, which is why there is a drastic shortage of Adderall available right now... DEA limits raw product manufacturing capability with max quotas, and then keeps tabs on how much distributors are sending out and how much pharmacies are receiving... thus, drug shortage on the open market

Tell me about it. I’m waiting on some right now. I don’t get moody or body aches without it, but I can definitely feel the lack of focus.

And I failed to mention he also lives on Red Bull and Monster. Always has one in hand. From what I've read Adderall causes dry mouth. He has a yeti mug with him at all times pretty much and 90% of the time it's energy drinks. At least he does drink the sugar free versions of them.

I know from personal experience, he's taking those two at a time to achieve the same euphoria he used to get from just the one. And then to keep the euphoria going, he takes one as needed. But yea, the shite is horrible for you. He needs to just quit. Which is of course easier said than done.

Holy hell. 90mg is a ton. I take one 30mg capsule in the morning before work. It helps tremendously. I do not take it on days when I don't work.

It's overprescribed and I know a lot of people get it just so they can party more.

He is on a one way express train to a heart attack if he doesn’t get it under control.

I've taken 30 MG xr before. And that was a huge dose. Multiple 30 MG instant release is crazy. Dude has to have a blood pressure of 400/200.
