I was not there, but the Loyola Marymount game was loud enough to come through the TV extremely loud.

It was rocking last night. Maybe it wasn't the loudest ever... but it was absoloutely the loudest it's been in a long, long, long time.

And don’t forget Thursday March 13, 1986 double OT victory vs Purdue to advance to the second round vs Memphis St. I miss the days of 1st and 2nd round games being played on campuses.

To answer the OP- last night was a fantastic atmosphere for college basketball. Not women’s college basketball, college basketball in general. It was loud and the fans were into the game. However, historically we have had much louder games in the PMAC. I have left that place with my ears ringing for a long time afterwards.

1990 vs UNLV and against Loyola Marymount the atmosphere was electric. I believe one of those games was on Superbowl Sunday

Anthony Wilson's shot seemed to bounce on the rim forever. I will never forget the excitement just walking around after the game...I may be wrong but it seems like there was a game after ours or maybe just people hanging around in the concourse

I sat at the top of the Deaf Dome that night, last row, and the noise level and intensity of the atmosphere was crazy good! Hard to believe that much time has past...

So happy for the WBB team & us fans for this unbelievable run! Hopefully a NC can be captured by this selfless team! Geaux Tigers!!!

But that’s easily the loudest I have ever heard the PMAC during a stretch in the 4th quarter when we had an 8-0 run. Maybe there were some big time men’s games the old schoolers can enlighten me on. But from my experience I’ve never heard the PMAC louder.

When I was at LSU during the late 80s with Dale Brown's good teams and the student section mid-court the PMAC was very loud on the regular year after year.

I was at the Purdue game. The roof almost came off.

Super Bowl in New Orleans
LSU/UNLV in Baton Rouge

Sports fans watched LSU/UNLV that afternoon on ABC then the Super Bowl that night on CBS.

Was that the “Ricky Blanton game”? He had to step in and play center and was way overmatched but refused to lose? Or is my memory jumbling things in my middle age? (I’m not old, dammit!)

That’s right. May have been 86-87 season. I started fall of 86 and I’m pretty sure it was while I was at LSU.

No, the Kentucky games of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s set the standard.

Georgetown in the Dome was in ‘89. LSU played Georgetown at the Capital Centre in Landover, Md., in ‘86.

Me and some buds camped out for 3 nights under the ramps of PMAC to get tickets for those games. Both were unbelievable.
