Was that the “Ricky Blanton game”?

Ricky Blanton hit the game winner the previous year vs. UNLV. This game was the Shaq and Chris Jackson year. Home games against UNLV and Loyola Marymount within a week of each other.

Sports fans watched LSU/UNLV that afternoon on ABC then the Super Bowl that night on CBS.

Nah

UNLV was on a Saturday

I think we played FL before the Super Bowl

Lots of celebrities there b/c the SB was in NO

But I'm fairly certain UNLV was on a Saturday

ETA- Assumed you were referring to the Blanton game

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but there were some massive alley oops in the late 90’s early 00’s with Stromile and Jabari Smith Sr(Fuk im old) that were amazingly loud.
Be good to hear some opinions from others who may have been to a few of the best environments in the PMAC.

You'd be surprised how loud a Gymnastics meet can get when a tumbler gets a 10.

In fact last year when Aubie Aids Gymnast and Olympic Gold Medalist Suni Lee came to town, thousands of shrieking aspiring gymnasts showed up to cheer her on more so than the LSU team. So when she got a 10, it was LOUD.

And some of LSU's best tumblers have rocked the Pmac when they got 10s back in 2016-2018 when 12-13k fans were in attendance.

So save the PMAC? I mean other than needing about 10-50 million in upgrades its location is legit.

I remember students sitting in the walkways back in CJ, Roberts, Shaq days. Deaf Dome was rocking plus Mike the Tiger would start game by coming down from ceiling to the court.
