I wont be back to check until I finish RoW, but i hope its Marsh.
Sounds like you're pretty far into Rhythm already, right? I think you already experienced this part. It's not obvious, but the clues are there. It does become more obvious with each epigraph though.
Where are you currently in the series? If you're in or past Part 2 of Rythm, then you've hit it. Click this LINK to help you see who it is. I thought I figured it out, but I did have to read this link to confirm. You can click on names within it to find out more details and reveal who they really are. It's big time spoiler territory though.

I'm in the middle of Part 3.

So far the little epigraphs most obviously point towards Sazed. It has mentioned something about being "neither Ruin nor Preservation", learning about new powers, and a lot about "the power is more important than the Vessel." And some other things about agreement between gods about imprisoning Odium on Roshar. So I assume it's Sazed as "Harmony".
I just want to see old IronEyes again. Marsh was one of my favorite characters in the first Mistborn trilogy.
Now seriously, I'm not coming back until I finish RoW.

I'll venture into that when I'm done RoW

I haven't, and apparently there are things in those that are playing out in Oath. Sword Nimi, for instance, is in Warbreaker. I'm almost finished Rhythm of War, so at this point it is what it is. I'll knock those two out next and see how characters in Stormlight tie in with these and the Cosmere.
If you didnt finish Warbreaker before Oath you missed what is so far my favorite Cosmere character tie in/ reveal. I was jacked up when it happened. And now I'm excited to reread WoK, WoR, and Oath knowing who he is. Warbreaker is awesome if only for Vasher.

Dammit, I knew I should have stayed away from this thread. I only read up to Oathbringer. But I decided that I needed to read Mistborn to understand the Cosmere better before continuing the Stormlight books.
But reading this, and if true, I'm kind of jacked about Sazed being part of this universe beyond the Mistborn world.
I may do a re-read of the first three Stormlight books before moving on to Rhythm.

Finished Part 3 of Rhythm of war.
Lirin is unbelievably annoying.
Venli has become interesting albeit annoying. Will she help Rlain become radiant? She is still trying to run instead of fight, but interesting story so far.
The Pursuer is a pretty cool villain. Excited to see him die.
Lift better be ok.
I am itching to finds out what is happening with Adolin. I feel like he made it to Lasting Integrity a few hundred pages ago and nothing since.
Only about 400 pages left.
Come on Sanderlanche.

Just listened to the exchange between Witt and Sadeas after the great shell hunt in Way of Kings.
“Every man has his place. Mine is to make insults. Yours is to be in sluts.”

I just finished ROM on Friday.
I'll hold off comments for now. The epilogue was....interesting.

Yup. I only know the character in question due to researching things in the books as I read them. When looking up some things I discovered this certain character has a backstory that is in WB, and things make a lot of sense now in these books.
By the way, I finished Rhythm this morning, and now I feel lost with no book to continue the story. I'm usually reading book series after they are all complete, so this is relatively new territory for me. I don't like it at all
Regarding Rhythm, I see many reviewers complaining that not much exciting happened in it. I think these people are nuts, because this book as more mystery reveals than pretty much any other book I've ever read. This was an incredible journey. I am still surprised how much Sanderson revealed in it. I get the impression he did so in order to start expanding the Cosmere more. He seems to be itching to delve into the full universe and start pushing the grandiose tales that are bigger than those on the individual planets. I'm sure I am wrong, but that's the feeling I get.

Better get used to it. It will probably be another 20 years before the final Stormlight book is published.
I think most people don't like the Navani chapters and her experiments etc. On re-read I like her chapters better that I understand the implications of what she discovered for the Cosmere.
Btw if you want a little taste of Stormlight 5:

I guess I can see that, but those were really good to me. We got to see the humanization of Raboniel, which was great insight into the fused and singers. Plus we learned a ton on how the "magic" of this world works. I liked seeing the physics of it all, but I can see others growing bored with it.
The only parts of the books that I don't read are the final pages in which he breaks down the workings of each crystal and such. That's too much of a chore.

Why is that?

It takes on average 3-4 years for a Stormlight book to get published and there are 6 left. Let alone all the other Cosmere novels he needs to write.
Sanderson has said that it will take to his early 70s to finish the planned Cosmere novels if things go as planned. He's late 40s now and hope he stays in good health. I believe he even said that he plans to take a longer break before starting Stormlight 6.

Wait till you get through Oathbringer. I am just about finished ROW, but so far Oath is my favorite of the series. They are all great though.
Oathbringer is neck and neck with WoR for me.
The "Knight radiant" moment for that one character in OB was killer but Kals entrance in WoR was just so badass.
Gonna take a week or two break before Rhythm of War because I've been balls to the walls reading for over a month now

Mistborn 3 is coming after Stormlight 5 isn't it?

Yeah I think Mistborn era 3 will start after Stormlight 5. No idea if he plans to finish it all before going back to Stormlight.
The biggest risk to derail his schedule imo is if whatever TV/movie things in the works take off. He said last year that he expected to be in production this year. Though I assume the writer's strike has thrown everything off.

I think I read that he plans to do MB3 and elantris 2-3 all between Stormlight 5 & 6

Given Sanderson's insane writing pace, Stormlight 6 would come out in like 2027

Just got the Nalthis swag box in the mail today for my year of Sanderson, the nightblood letter opener is probably my favorite thing I have gotten. Second would be the Mistborn bookends.
