I bought one at my oil change place a couple months ago, and when he told me the total price I just about dropped my jaw. I only ended up buying one (driver side). Told him when he quoted me the price (~ $35) I assumed that was for the set, not just one.

I've done it before. Drivers side went flying off and I stuck my head out the window. True story. Lolol

I've done it before when I had Rain-X on the windshield, and it was a light rain. Water rolled right off. Wouldn't do it in a downpour tho.

Had to replace mine last week. $81. They guy told me it is because so many vehicles now have different length wipers on the car so they cant pack them in pairs. My driver side was 24" and the passenger side was 22".

This. Or RockAuto if I'm buying something else.

Paid $60 for a set at AutoZone a few years ago. Last minute, about to head out on a trip. Had no idea they'd cost that much.

I ordered a set last week from Amazon for like 30 dollars. I'm curious to see if they last a month or not.

The last set I bought lasted a year and a half but they are totally clapped out now. The actual blade is hanging on by a thread.

WTF are you driving?

Let me guess. You had to go to the dealer because you can't change them yourself.

Volvo does a cool thing by simply replacing the rubber blade portion.

You think that is unique to Volvo?

As others said, buy online and replace yourself (same for all filters), and rain-x your windshield every so often. For most cars, they are very simple and you can do it just by looking at the set-up. If you can't figure it out, there are numerous YT videos for your car

Rain-X will keep you from needing to use your windshield wipers in light rain, also helps with fogged windows in the morning.

My last pair cost $20. They've worked great for 7 months now.

I think you got screwed.

Absolutely. Rainex is cheap and works very well.

Hope not. The windshield spray system goes through the actual wiper blade, so they’re expensive AF to replace the whole thing.

Wipers only cost that much if you get them installed. Most wipers are under $20. Places like costco have them for much less. Replacing wipers maybe the easiest maintenance you can do on a vehicle.

You usually GET what you PAY for, and wipers are no different.

I pay a little extra form the top-end wipers because they don’t streak and they last 3x longer than the CHEAP ones.
