Deputies arrest 4 in LSU student Madison Brooks case
quote:
Deputies have arrested four men in connection with an incident that eventually led to LSU student Madison Brooks being hit and killed by a vehicle in Baton Rouge earlier this month.
quote:
Investigators say Carver admitted that he and the three other males went to Reggie’s Bar near the LSU campus and consumed alcohol, the arrest warrant states. He said Brooks left the bar with them and was “very unstable on her feet, was not able to keep her balance, and was unable to speak clearly without slurring her words,” the arrest document states.
Carver allegedly told investigators his 17-year-old friend and Brooks were “hugging and walking together.”
Investigators say Carver told them Brooks asked for a ride home with them. He told investigators both Washington and the 17-year-old asked Brooks to have sex with them and she agreed, the warrant states.
Carver told investigators he believed Brooks was too drunk to know that she was consenting to sex and he “hated it,” the warrant states.
Carver says they later dropped off Brooks in a neighborhood near the scene where she was hit on Burbank Drive.
quote:
Investigators say Brooks had a blood-alcohol level of .319g%, nearly four times the legal limit.
quote:
Deputies charged both Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, of Walker, and an unidentified minor with third-degree rape. The minor is 17 years old.

In a conversation shortly before his surrender, Washington told WBRZ’s Chris Nakamoto that he had sex with Brooks before she died. Washington said it was consensual.
Washington said he, the other suspects and Brooks left Reggie’s — a bar in Tigerland — early Sunday, Jan. 15, after a night of heavy drinking. He said he had sex with Brooks in the backseat of a vehicle, along with another teen.

Everett Lee, 28, of Pine Grove, and Casen Carver, 18, of Denham were both charged with principle to third-degree rape.

There were a couple of posters claiming that something like this happened

A thread was started yesterday but was whacked. They have known for a little while she was raped and dumped. She was trying to flag down help and was hit on Burbank.

Well at least they caught the sick fricks. So sad.

The family must be thrilled that the world now knows their daughter had multiple dudes run through her while blackout drunk (possible rape if the charges stick) just before she was horrifically killed in the middle of the road. What a horrible situation.

The NAACP is working with prominent Baton Rouge attorneys representing two of the suspects, saying there is video evidence refuting allegations that Brooks was raped.

LSU and Baton Rouge are such wonderful communities. Two students have died and another shot in about four and a half months of school this academic year.

They should at least be charged with Manslaughter.

Can we please just recall Broom and her dipshit police chief?
If either of them were any dumber, we’d have to water them twice a day.

Omg. That’s horrible. It just didn’t make sense at first that she would be on Burbank by herself. This is just terrifying. No care for life at all.

My 18 year old stepdaughter is off at college. I can't imagine her being in a campus that is in a city like Baton Rouge.

Let them walk and have justice served on the streets like the kid that hit the mother and baby. Somebody will put a bullet in them.

It seems like the bar is in trouble too for permitting underage drinking.

Where were her friends? Did they put something in her drink? I mean everything these days says go out with friends and stay together. Never leave a drink unattended. Idk what happened but hard to believe this happens with all the info about never be alone and stick together. I guess I’m naive. I never remember being drunk and alone without friends.
