It was Sports. Reggie's wasn't there when I was at LSU either.
Okay. Now I have a point of reference. I used to hang out at Sports, but as time went by I became a Chimes Street and State Street bar person (Library Joe's, The Bayou, Slinky's, the Chimes, Chelsea's)
Sports back then was where a good number of FB players hung out. It was mostly a very white crowd also. I don't recall many black folks hanging out at Sports.

I also have a way to solve the Allison Rice murder but it'd take spending some money and doing some research. Better done by, say, officials with subpoena power.
Go on.......(but in that other thread)

Will whoever is downvoting Jody please step forward and share how you have more life experience with this?
Posted on 1/24/23 at 1:32 pm to VADawg
Yeah, I definitely missed that.

i downvoted jody. its unnecessary for him to come out and explain his lack of anonymity once again to us. plus he sells a book and markets himself. like jesus.
eta: i just downvoted you cause you had a stupid response to why people are choosing to click a downvote button.

Thanks for the explanation. I obviously was looking at it from a different way and didn't realize people felt that way.
People are getting a little crazy about themselves in this thread so I was confused.
Eta: I posted before he edited just to explain why he downvoted me.

There’s no way for you to know that. This is not your normal “regret” situation.

Where the hell were this girls friends? She surely didn't go out by herself. There was no responsible friend in her group to keep her from leaving in a barely functional stupor with 3 dudes she just met?

Like when I offered a free link to download my book and provided a free code to the audio book? Is that when I was "trying to sell" my book?
No wonder some of you struggle with what is consent.
Not everyone has been around for 10+ years and know the story.

Tigerland is 100x more hood now than it was in the 90s.

must be nice to be omniscient. How do you divine these insights you seem so sure of?

Which is why it is manslaughter - they put her in a position to die.
It's similar to felony murder. You commit a felony, say bank robbery, and someone runs out of the bank, trips, breaks their skill and dies = felony murder.
The perps set forth a course of events that led to Maddy's death = manslaughter.
They need not do the act (running her over) to be legally responsible for her death. Which they are.
Remember, DAs take an oath and are licensed by the State Bar. They MUST follow the law on the books or be impeached, removed from office, or disbarred.
They're there for the VICTIMS.
They charge and the defense lawyers fight for their clients.
Hillary Moore should be answering questions from the victim's family - who should hire an attorney at this point.
Women's Advocacy groups getting involved? Here them call for justice? Protests?

so we are going to live in a world where you drop someone off in a neighborhood, and they walk over to a 4 lane highway and get hit and it's somehow the responsibility of the driver that dropped that person off if they are killed?

You don’t know where they dropped her.
I've seen a few published references to her being dropped in a neighborhood and she was hit right outside of Pelican Lakes.

Brooks died after being hit by a vehicle on Burbank Drive at Pelican Lakes Parkway on January 15th.

If she was drunk as a skunk, then yes. Drop her at her home FFS.
