As the crow flies it’s 1.59 miles from campus to Red Stick Social with nothing but ghetto in between. The it’s not close to campus argument is silly.
That murder was close to campus and this recent kidnapping/rape was close to campus. It’s way past time for LSU to start pressuring the mayor and police chief to get crime under control.

I just want to see some representative from LSU make a public plea to Broom and the city to address the crime.
LSU has this responsibility to its students.
no, don't you understand? Its the bars fault. Its the victims fault. Its her friend's fault. Its everyone's fault but the 4 people who actually coerced her into the car and sodomized her. Never mind the absolute failure of city administrators to prosecute crime or do anything to deter crime. Thats not it. Its the victim, the bar, her friends, and maybe those dirty breweries who produce the devil juice that led to this.

Top story on Fox News.
Hopefully it keeps going. This needs to be the story that finally caves in LSU's arse. Tate needs to start making some phone calls and the alumni base needs to start raising hell. frick this shite.

Already on Fox News, Newsweek, and New York Post

Haley believes the video evidence from inside the car will prove his clients are innocent and that bars selling alcohol to underage drinkers are to blame for the incident.

Myself and many others. We all ended up lucky and not dead. So, a girl drinks and some on here think that makes her a target for a gang rape? That thinking is absolutely appalling. I hope none of you men get raped in the a$$ by some thugs the next time you decide to get drunk.

Let’s not say kidnapping because that’s not what it was

You think I’m victim blaming? Wait until the trial, the defense team is going to blow up her personal life and try to find anything to show this wasn't the first time she did something like this. What happens if it comes out she had been in actual consensual situations like this before? Will you feel differently?
Pretty douche level expectation. There is absolutely nothing in past history behavior when a blood alcohol level of 0.319 is involved. You already have a front seat guy saying he knew it was bad wrong. The 2 non participants are going to write a book in testimony to save their souls.
You can add that Reggies is going to have to explain how a 19 yr old coed got that drunk in their establishment.
And lastly I would hate to be her “friends” that abandoned her in this condition… They will have to live with that for the rest of their lives

You can’t seriously think she has zero blame in any of this.
I can seriously think she has zero blame in this. What, she was out partying with every other student that night? The driver's statements and (I assume video)of what was going on in the bar beforehand clearly show she was falling over drunk.
She also had THC in her system. Maybe somebody gave her a gummy and it just put her over the edge. Who knows, but being drunk in South Louisiana is a pretty common occurrence, and this situation is not.
These men absolutely knew what they were doing, and they didn't care. They know she was out of her brain wasted. They are predators, plain and simple.

Some do. Squid Hunt over on the PT is pushing this angle.

I do care that we live in a society where women want equality and independence but aren't held responsible for their bad behavior. You can't have it both ways.
Women go to bars and get, drunk because they want be taken advantage of.

I'm willing to bet none of yall experienced what this poor girl did (obviously not even counting the getting killed part).

Imagine being this braindead of an attorney and admitting your client committed crimes.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse, and even he should know that.

The most recent tragedy is terrible but the underlying issues are very common at pretty much every college or university across the US.
I mean, this seems in reality a bit more than a 'college boys' going too far situation and more the ever increasing degeneracy of the college's surroundings.

anyone else heard the sorority sisters had a bit of a drunk fight at the bar and left madison at the bar?

but she made terrible decisions which indirectly led to this.
While I don't disagree, nobody gets drunk expecting to be raped and then dumped in a strange place.
Just because she made poor choices doesn't lessen the culpability of anyone else involved.

Would we have the same reaction here if she said yes to the train, they dropped her off in the same complex/subdivision, she made it home, then claimed rape two weeks later only after the video surfaced?
