Simple taste of a “progressive” regime, I went to Walmart last night

Was out of dog food and needed some groceries. I forgot all about the new plastic bag policy in Colorado. Walmart no longer has bags, so if you want to buy their reusable bags for almost a dollar a piece, that’s how you can get your groceries out the door. King Soopers still has plastic bags for .10c a piece if you want to bag your own.

Granted a small nuisance to bitch about, but this is the pettiness of living in a groomer regime.

Seeps like a good return on investment if you live in an area that charges for plastic bags.

Well if you remember to take them with you wherever you go

Why do you need a bag? Just bring your own box.

The plastic bags came about because of the save the trees drive in the 80s and 90s. They dumped a renewable resource (paper sacks) in favor of toxic plastics... in the name of "saving the environment."

It seems that it had the opposite effect.

Nothing changes for the better.

I think you should look at this from All angles. How much more is the fuel cost for just bag transportation? It probably takes 3 trucks to transport the same amount of paper bags versus plastic bags. So is using paper better for the environment in the long run?

CNN ...yes but even they know

Short synopsis... You need to use your reusable cotton bag 7100x to equal the carbon output of a plastic bag

Clear cutting forests does not represent a "renewable resource" to me. Our native hard wood forest turned into pine barrens with acidic soil and very little wild life.

Yeah, deer prefer acorns not pine needles

Stop going to Walmart. They are a terrible company and bad for America.

I just keep a few of them in the boot of my car at all times. Problem solved.

Is there a procedure for cleaning the dollar tote bags. Leaking meat and produce portions make a real good Petri dish

We buy most of our meat from the Amish meat counter at the local Farmers Market. They wrap everything nice and bag it for us.

Basically, there is NOTHING they don't potentially want to meddle in.
