1. No coach could build a winner with th obstacles we have in place next year
2. The defense gave up 15 points per game over the last 8
3. A competent OC who wants the job gets us to at least 10 wins this year
4. The team went on a 3 game win streak to end the year at a time when most struggling teams would have completely packed it in

Dennis Allen has never built a winning team. He’s a bad coach and his record proves that.

Dude sucks as a coach. You ain't winning dick with him. The only reason not to fire him is it looks bad firing a first year coach.

If I was Saints I'd strip his arse of everything. Trade any player with value, rebuild, keep him as coach until that cap is about to clear up. Once it's prime and you navigated cap hell, fire his arse and get someone competent for the new era.

You on some serious shite if you think Allen will ever win anything for Saints.

If our objective is to not be good, tank while we are paying the price for kicking the can down the road, be bad, get our cap in order, and get a high draft pick, then yes its the right call.

If we actually want to win, its a hilariously bad call.

Lost to matt Rhule who was fired not long after, lost to Arizona, who also fired their coach. Then lost to Wilks who was totally incompetent his first year in Arizona.

This division was absolute trash and he couldn’t win it. Didn’t want him last year, don’t want him now.

Man I hope you are right.

I don't think you are.

But I do hope.

agree, but not for the reasons you stated.

We need to be tanking...and Allen is a good coach for that.

Dennis Allen should gone. However, Loomis knows Mrs B will allow the it was just a bad year, bad circumstances, Allen will get it done next year narrative. Next year if DA shits the bed, he’s gone

If we are tanking for picks then why don’t we have a #1 for this upcoming draft ?

15-38 record as a head coach. Total loser who has no business being a head coach.

Disagree

To anyone who watched the team it’s clear he is not a long term solution at HC.

We are in desperate need for an OC . What high caliber OC is ready to hitch his/her wagon to DA knowing he’s starting the year on the hot seat ?

If you know it’s not the right guy , you rip the bandaid off.

Any decent OC we get will just get poached after a decent year and then we’ll be right back to the same shite again.

Guy simply drops his team's win percentage by 20-30% being head coach. Pretty dam consistent.

Ironically he's been worse this year relative to the previous 3 years for NOLA.

Raiders records 3 years before Allen
2011 8-8
2010 8-8
2009 5-11
Overall 21-27 (0.438)

Oakland With Allen
2014 0-4
2013 4-12
2012 4-12
Overall 8-28 (0.222)

He sucks, and simply only dragged down his team's average record

Saints record b3 years before Allen
2021 9-8
2020 12-4
2019 13-3
Overall 34-15 (0.694)

Saints with Allen
2022 7-10 (0.412)

Why not go after a young, offensive guy and let him cut his teeth while we rebuild instead of sticking with what we know in Allen?

If the young guy sucks then we’re in the same position but has a potential to hit the jackpot

Stopped reading here, trading Payton and getting Ryan’s & McDaniels(if fired) could win over 7 games

No way to know this.

What we do know is Allen has never been a winner as HC.
