They will be tough. No doubt. I think key will be to get one more stud CB in the portal to play otherside of field with Harris. Our dline should be good. If our CB’s can blanket cover their receivers then it will open up Perkins to go from contain Travis to blitz like a mad man.

Lord. Alabama is more loaded with overall talent and a superior coaching staff….much like LSU in comparison to Florida State. They do not match the talent level and it will show in an LSU win. Though Florida State should be a favorite to win the ACC, but the jury is still out on Norvell as being “that” guy to lead the Noles back to prominence. He had a good season but we shall see if he can improve from this season.

that first game our coaches were still trying to figure who could play where best, things you just can't learn in limited practices and we still only lost by 1 to a team that was in its 3rd year under Coach Novell...

Its going to be a huge prime time game for sure, but having our OL, QB, and WR/RB/TE cadre back will huge for LSU. Eliminate the costly turnovers and ST issues, unleash a healthy M. Smith & dynamic Perkins, and we win this game. No doubt in my mind. DC House will be ready for the FSU QB.

It will be a tough game. And we will be integrating a lot of new defensive players again.

But I think the tigers circle that one and come out strong

No, but Norvell can coach his arse off. Their special teams and offense will be legitimate threats. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know football. Norvell had University of Memphis humming when he was their. Routinely beating a good Cincinnati team, routinely beating a good UCF team. He coached against Dykes, Heupel, and Fickell and won. Was competitive against Kelly at Notre Dame with bad FSU teams.

Look around the NFL at Gainwell, Pollard, Anthony Miller, Henderson, Gibson. All memphis skill position players that no one recruited. He can identify and develop talent.

People tend to forget that with a mediocre special teams, LSU would of beaten FSU this year. If our special teams don’t piss away games again next season, LSU has a chance to win the West.

Definelty will be our toughest game up until Bama at least. That game will tell us a lot about the make up and set the expectations for the season.
