I'd say he'd have a judge declare the Mayor mentally incompetent and then take over the city.

He'd have the mayor, DA, and at least 2-3 city judges removed for malfeasance or some technicality. Maybe even threatening them somehow.

Huey would have put the national guard there 5 years ago.

Huey would have taken the necessary measures long before it got to this point.

You know he wanted to set a maximum income of $1m a year and a minimum of$3k?
People talk about socialism on here. He was pushing a hard core form well before people really knew of it.

He would’ve arranged for the legislature to steal a bunch of money from the state and give it to the city to pay off the criminals to knock it off until his term was over.

Problem is you can't make shite happen today like you could back then. Too much documentation and litigation.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

Not to derail the thread, but how does JBE just ignore this? The state’s largest city is on fire and he is AWOL. Huey would have dealt with it decisively.

He and his cronies that he installed as judges, DA, S&W board, levee police, Belt Railroad, etc. would skim millions off the top of all the federal dollars the city gets and not one problem would be solved.
