I get paid significantly less than these guys and there was someone who had a sandblaster blowup on him with a bolt hitting him in the forehead. Many of the guys who saw it happen thought he was going to die. There was no go home early and take the week off. They said if you have an issue talk with HR. This happened 3 years ago so it was very close. Get out of here with that bullshite.

OP brings up a valid point, gets nothing but replies like the above on page 1. Fitting that it's from a Florida fan.

Not playing this game is a huge advantage for Buffalo. IMO, they should be pushed back in the AFC standings.

The Chiefs are not losing to the Raiders unless they use this break to rest players

Yes I’m sure you’re extensive encounters with genuine born and bred bengals and bills fans in New Orleans made this well researched conclusion

A lot of posters all of a sudden care about the NFL after the past few years saying they will never watch it again. LOL

This is mind boggling unfair especially when the team getting fricked is the team that was up 4 with the ball at midfield in a game where the other team’s injury resulted in a cancellation.

They probably agreed to this. If they aren’t throwing a fit why are you?

shite happens, what exactly are you bitching about? You think they should have played on? We’re the teams willing to do that? Play Tuesday?

They made it to the Super Bowl last year and are on a roll. They probably view replaying or resuming the game as a distraction, an extra game that has very little meaning that carries injury risk

They did not. Team EVP Katie Blackburn sent a 500 word memo to all NFL teams urging them to vote against this.

At a minimum, I want consistent logic in NFL’s decision. Ravens can beat the Bengals and force a coin flip for a home field matchup based on the assumption Bengals could have lost Week 17. This should also apply to a Bengals-Bills matchup under the assumption the Bengals could have won week 17. There’s really no logical argument for why one contingency exists and not the other.

Maybe he is referencing the hilarious double standard LSU fans are showing with their new fandom for the Bengals because solely of Burrow on that team? After a decade of LSU fans riding Auburn fans for supporting Cam and the Panthers, it is pretty funny to see the opposite now occurring.

By the way I have no problem with either side supporting their alumni and think you should support them and show school pride.

Chiefs are the team getting screwed. It’s likely Cincy would’ve beats the Bills. If the Chiefs beat the Raiders they would have home field throughout the playoffs

Yep.

Can they just flip a coin for every AFC team in the standings?

It's the same thing with college players after the game, and the coaches aren't the mortal enemies that message board fans think they are. (Most of them have the same agent so they're like fraternity brothers.)

This is a different sport but IMO the mindset is the same ... years ago Larry Bowa got on Steve Carlton, the great pitcher, about not being sufficiently acknowledging/accommodating to fans, told him, "The game belongs to the fans, we owe them something."

Lefty fired back something along the lines of, "The game belongs to the players, all the fans are owed for buying a ticket is to watch our performance and then get up and go home and go on with their lives."

I would imagine that attitude still exists today, so people ought to remember that when they have frickin' strokes on message boards or go burn down stuff over ball games ...

Gonna keep talking out of your arse about the players not caring?

I find it sad and pathetic that people shite all over what brings other people joy when it doesn’t impact them at all. Burrow didn’t just win us a national championship, the dude led the greatest team in CFB history to a natty, won the heisman, and cemented himself as the GOAT LSU football player. And for that, I will cheer for him and the bengals because he provided me with so much joy.

Joe Mixon Tweet about NFL’s decision impacting AFC playoffs

Or how about the bengals themselves trying to change this? Bengals not happy

It’s almost like we are the consumers of a product they provide. If fans didn’t care like they do, players wouldn’t be millionaires playing football.

No. You can still act normal while giving them your money.

I don't care for millionaire athletes either. What they do isn't important to me.
