Damar Hamlin's Uncle says the damage they are treating is in the lungs.

interview with Hamlin's Uncle.
... Not the brain, not the heart.... The lungs.
Still intubated to keep the lungs from working too hard.
This makes me wonder if this was not a pulmonary embolism (clot) that was dislodged by the hit and traveled to the lungs.
I found it very strange that the Uncle called out the lungs specifically.
I am sure we will never know if we are being told the actual reason he went into cardiac arrest.

He has Factor V Leiden thrombophilia, a genetic condition

Are you mixing up Hamlin with the Jets player (Max Mitchell) who has the clotting disorder? Don't recall ever hearing Hamlin having that.
