So boutte boarded the plane and flew to Orlando only to declare because Daniels is returning, which he knew a week ago

If Boutte was suspended for a known issue, why did he travel with the team to begin with?

I think the suspension moved him to declare, not Daniels.

Unless there's some other unknown reason like a suspension, the most likely explanation is he planned to return on some advice that he could have a big season and increase his draft position (also some NIL incentive). After further thought he decided he could up his stock at the combine and either way start making big money a year earlier so he ended up declaring.

He didn't travel with the team but he did enroll in Spring classes with the belief that JD would return to LSU as many others thought as well

Yes, they are that stupid. They've proven it time and time again.
My thing with Kayshon is this. The reason he came back to begin with had just as much to do with off the field questions as they did with on the field production. Hell, maybe more. This change of heart doesn't help that, it hurts him, and just adds more questions that he will have to answer from NFL teams. When something stinks it usually stinks for a reason.

He may have knew a week ago he was returning but probably just found out Daniels was gonna be starting and knew there was no real QB competition heading into the Spring like was promised. Just a thought, I don't know.
