I ordered something that begin shipping 14 days ago. It still isn’t here. It sat for five days in Wisconsin. Then it spent a few days going to Miami. I live in Tennessee mind you. Everyone has these same experiences. I shipped an item by UPS and in 2 days despite snow it reached its destination.

Am I really to believe I should have faith in the government running my healthcare, kid’s education, etc when this is what they provide?

My expectations for USPS are so low, I don't get disappointed with them.

USPS is the worst of all the mail services in every way possible.

The USPS is so inept that they are the only non-profitable mail service in the country.

The USPS needs to be privatized, yesterday.

Same. Package set at a facility in Denver for 15 days before it was assigned a tracking number. Lady at my local post office couldn't find it in system and told us that it's there but not ready to ship. That's 4 hours away! Finally today it showed a real usps number and says it will arrive on the 5th. So 5 weeks later it will be here for Xmas.

I swear the post office is better at stealing elections than shipping packages.

The USPS is nothing more than a jobs program for blacks. That's why FedEx and UPS are profitable and we keep hemorrhaging tax dollars on an agency that can't deliver our sales flyers on time.

One time I ordered some items from ebay. One was from Japan and one was from Bakersfield CA. I got the Japan item a week and a half before I got the Bakersfield item

I always choose a different courier if I can. Their tracking is useless. Sometimes it says it left and came back to the same facility, multiple times.

Last year, on two separate occasions, my package was delivered from my mailbox to my nextdoor neighbor's mailbox...about 150' away. I realize fuel prices are up, but the postage seemed a bit excessive to me.

I would also suggest that you insist, (via leaving a note or in person) that your package gets scanned upon pickup or you will have no proof it was even mailed. I have been unable to determine/verify that protocol requires such a scan.

U.S. Postal Service Opens Permanent Political Division, Dedicated to the Delivery and Return of Mail-in Election Ballots, DNC Lawyer Mark Elias is Very Happy

July 29, 2022

With mail-in ballots becoming a feature of all future elections, the United States government, specifically the United States Postal Service (USPS) is now creating a permanent division inside USPS to control the delivery and return of the election ballots. Do you know the political affiliation of your mail courier?

As often said, it’s not the vote that matters, it’s the counting…. or in this instance, the collection of the votes that really matters. Democrat lawyer Mark Elias, in charge of protecting all fraudulent voting initiatives on behalf of the Democrat National Committee, is happy with the news. Keep in mind the union representing 300,000 U.S. postal workers previously endorsed Democrat Joe Biden for president.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, is a fully compromised left-wing division of the USPS. The USPS has just created a division of NALC employees exclusively to handle mail-in voting, just in time for the mid-term election.

I've never really had a problem with USPS other than one time. Other than that one time, they have usually been on time with my packages.

ups fricked me

I ordered a package(tucker mug for pops), UPS handled 95% of shipping, then Monday, handed it off to local USPS.

No problem, except the USPS is a pos, and useless branch of government.

I finally received that package, which was a gift, xmas eve night, long after i went to family party. so usps kept it for 4 full days, before finally sending it to my house.

They are useless, i remember when our mailman was milking the clock during holiday months, called him(not by name), out on local papers forum. Suddenly till he retired, 2 years later, he had mail there by 2:30 every day.

during holiday months it was 7-8pm. but suddenly after being called out, he did every week of xmas holiday by 2:30 shocker

A big difference between the post office and private carriers like UPS and FedEx is the term 'customer service' is not in their training manuals.
I had an issue with my mailman tearing up my front lawn in order to make a tight turn at our corner for the next mailbox.
I explained that all he had to do was back into my driveway and then front out.
He said: 'We're not allowed to put our vehicles in reverse.'

BTW, the first attempt at private mail delivery in America was back around 1800. It was very successful. The govt shut it down. Post office jobs were political patronage.

I send out hundreds of packages, used to be thousands before Biden took office, every week. All smaller packages (clothing). 99%+ make it to destination, all insanely fast, and cheaper than any other service unless it's a big order going as far as washington/Alaska.

They're incredible by comparison to others for the price.

The issue is when a package goes missing. You're totally fked. Don't even try to fight with them over email or phone. Accept your loss and avoid homicidal rage.

It’s government run. Best and brightest. Not tasked with efficiency or profit.

I ordered something that came through USPS this last month.

I live in Temple 45 miles north of Austin on I35. I had something coming from Austin (our main USPS hub) it went from Austin to Temple USPS, which is less than a mile from my house.

Then instead of going out for delivery, it went to Taylor, TX, Austin, TX, Waco, TX (30 miles north of Temple,) and then back to Temple.

You forgot to mention TVA, the generating plants they have shut down, and now the TVA rolling blackouts. Yes, our efficient government at work.

Was it via Media Mail? I've read that is the lowest priority, and sometimes takes 4 to 8 weeks. I ordered something late November. Shipped Nov 26, and has been rotting in a Chicago post office since December 1st.
