Are Daniels supporters okay with Walker at least competing for the starting position?

Or is it an auto-start for Daniels no matter what?
Edit: yes, technically, we are all “Daniels supporters” because we are all LSU fans. I’m referring to ranters that are all-in on Daniels no matter what

I’m not all in on anyone. If they want the starting spot they will have to step up and earn it.

I would hope it is a true 4 way competition and the best player wins the job. Personally i don't care who it is. I just hope whoever it is wins a lot of games and represents the university well.

Of course there should be a competition. JD5 will have a leg up whether people like it or not just due to experience.

Maybe Daniels will actually develop into a quarterback and remove all of his bad tendancies he developed over the past 4 years. If we get the JD from the Bama and a handful of other games, good. If we get the JD from the rest of the season, it's going to be painful to watch.

Why wouldn't Howard be competing for the job every day already? The coaches see them more and evaluate them more than any fan on here. I doubt they would leave Howard on the bench if they truly felt he was the better player?
Or are you suggesting LSU should have some sort of dual QB "tryout" plan in the first few games of next season? If so, I'm against that. Just pick your starter ahead of game 1 and go with it

I’m a Daniels supporter and hope there’s a wide open quarterback competition every spring and fall camp.
I’ll trust our ten-million-dollar a year coach to name a starter.
