I have a new pellet smoker and I'm looking for recs for a decent thermometer, under $100 if possible, one that I can monitor from my phone. Anyone have a recommendation that won't break the bank?

Meateris what you are looking for. I was skeptical, but I like it now that I have and am using it.

My nephew asked for this for Christmas, so I bought him one. Glad to see it as a recommendation because I was not familiar with it.

Have had the Meater for three years and it still works great. I will never run another cord again.

The Meater probe sucks. This is what you want.

The MEATER’s range sucks arse unless you pair it with a separate device on your wifi that can stay by the pit. It is baffling why they didn’t design the probe to connect to wifi and only Bluetooth.

That's slick

I use the not so slick dual probe Therm pro. Never had a problem with it.

The bluetooth range is really enraging. I can't lay in my bed and get a reading. Very annoying.

Agreed. Bought one for smoking a bird on Thanksgiving, and it gave an accurate reading, but I had to keep my phone near the window to get the reading.

I’ve asked this before. But is it really accurate for internal and ambient temps? I know it’s supposed to be “dual zone” but I use my wired octopus. One checks the meat and I stick the other through a mushroom or something so the tip reads the ambient temp in the kettle.

I’d love to use on wireless probe.

Imma done with Bluetooth. Using an inbird with 4 probes. Today I used the sous vide to recalibrate for Sunday

Issue is you need to connect to 2.4g Wi-Fi to connect to these devices. Only once to connect and then go back to 5g

That's about what I'm looking for, didn't want to spend to so much on the meater probe. I have a rotisserie so I for sure want it to be completely wireless so that looks like it would work.

Thanks for the recs everyone.
