If James Franklin hasn’t exploded at Penn St yet, I don’t see him doing it.

TCU, maybe. But ONLY because they will be in a very watered down Big 12. I'll pull for them to beat Michigan...and they might. But I don't think they will ever be in the realm of beating the best of the SEC.

USC, absolutely. Just FAR too many good things (tons of talent just in LA county alone; biggest CFB media market; tremendously wealthy alumni base...if they care to get involved). They had to almost try to F-up that program. And they succeeded.

Penn St? Good program. Maybe the occasionally best OSU and Michigan. But I don't see it on a consistent basis.

FSU. Should be far better than they have been. But long gone are the days Bobby Bowden could get in some "questionable" characters the SEC schools wouldn't take. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, etc are all swimming in the same pond that FSU is in. The can and should certainly challenge Clemson yearly. But I don't see the 90's coming back any time soon.

TCU.

Watch how many passes Bech catches at TCU in 2023 with a QB that can get him the ball.

He was a totally wasted talent with GOAT JD5 at QB. (All the WR's were, but none more than JB)

He'll go on like Quinn did at SMU; catch a lot of balls and have an NFL career.
.
Bech loves LSU, so you know he must have gotten word that JD5 is coming back and got the hecK out of Dodge.......

A lot of LSU fans are ignorant to it but expect FSU to be one of LSU's most challenging games next year. They're already tearing it up in the portal. I wouldn't be surprised if they're a top 10 team next year.

I can already see them carving the defense up considering how weak our LB position is especially in coverage right now. They got 2 of the best TEs in the portal and one is extremely dynamic.

I like what that Crain guy said. LSU with leadership is scary.

Will only be relevant until they play actual teams with defense.

Riley has shown this over & over

That rematch with FSU is going to be a good one. Too bad it’s a lame arse neutral site.

Penn State..doubtful though they have a good backfield tandem and Carter is legit. LSU, USC, TCU, and FSU are on the rise, though LSU will be the one to truly “explode” to top tier status.

Sonny Dykes isn't going to sustain TCU at this level.

Oregon should be on that list if they aren't. Fully agree about FSU, TCU and USC though. Penn State though? Nah. TCU will benefit more than anyone from Texas and Oklahoma's departure and shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. Wouldn't doubt it if Nuss transfers there should JD5 come back, nor would I blame him even though I wouldn't agree with the move. USC is definitely on the rise, but is FSU really "ready to explode"? I dont buy it, regardless of their win over us this year. We're 12 months removed from having 39 scholarship players available and this year was a massive rebuild. They got us on a blocked xp. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Tigers next year in Orlando.
Also, I may be in the minority here, but I hope Tulane can build on their success and maybe we'll get to meet them in the playoffs once they expand to 12 teams. We can recruit nationwide. Not really worried about Tulane being succesful as far as them becoming a threat to our program or flipping recruits, just think it'd be awesome to see two Louisiana teams have success in the playoffs. Hopefully they'll stay on the rise with Willie Fritz. Retaining him was a huge milestone in building on their success. I hope they beat the everloving shite outta USC in the Cotton and we can schedule them sooner than later.

Oh! Can we add Bama to the list of programs ready to implode?!
