Good recruiter, good LB coach, not good as a DC.
I would expect Arkansas to land some good LB and get better play there, not that it was bad to start with.
Gus Malzahn has now lost his OC and DC. Ouch.

TWill is a great person, players will love him.
With that being said when it was rumored he could be coming to AU to be the DC most AU fans were melting hard. Under a strong defensive minded coach…sure. But on his own? Not much experience there.

Good recruiter but just not experienced enough to be DC at a SEC school to me.
Hope he’s successful though so we can take him off your hands. Glad he gets tested out somewhere else

They’re different hires… Williams is much more of an unknown, but has the higher ceiling. He’s also a good recruiter.

Defense is 90% recruiting. Doesn’t matter what D you call if you’re getting beat physically. I’ll take an A level recruiter with light experience over a known entity who’s not known for recruiting. Arkansas needs players.

Good thought process by Pittboss. My only reservation would be not getting a recruiter that knows Texas. LOL at people upset that he didn't get a carbon copy of Barry Odom. That's not what Ark needs.
