Damn, swear I saw him in an interview a couple weeks ago and he was normal Mike Leach.

One of my favorite all-time people, sports or not.
Sorry he’s gone.

This sucks. I have always liked Mike Leach. One of the best personalities in college football.
I remember he getting a raw deal at Texas Tech when Craig James accused him of doing some bullshite to his son. I always wanted to know what really happened because if it was that bad, WSU wouldn't have hired him soon after TT fired him.

The last quarterback Mike Leach coached was Will Rogers. He thrived in the Air Raid offense over the last three years with Mississippi State, leading the SEC in passing yards in 2021 and 2022 under Leach’s tutelage.
Leach passed away Monday night from complications due to a heart condition, and the tributes poured in Tuesday morning after Mississippi State announced the news. Rogers took to Twitter to share his memories of his head coach and paid a touching tribute.
“I was in 1st grade when Graham threw the ball to Crabtree against Texas,” Rogers tweeted. “Thank you for giving me a chance as a 17 year old. From Wazzu, to Mississippi State I will never forget everything you taught me and the relationship we had. I will see you again someday coach.”

This death is actually affecting me more than it should, I looked at Leach as a Grandfather.

One of the most interesting guys in a sport full of dumbasses. Only sports book I ever bought and the first chapter is him as a little kid, someone told him the dog pees on stuff to establish dominance, so he goes and pisses on the dog to establish dominance.

Authentic, one-of-a-kind, funny, down-to-earth high intellect who enjoyed people and never took himself too seriously.
