Literally that was the basis for people saying non-champ TCU had better resume than non-champ Bama.

“SEC is down, TCU’s schedule was impressive.”

Betting odds in bowl games are meaningless in the post-NIL/transfer portal era. Many teams will be a shell of themselves. It's sad, really.

Why even play the games then…

Bama was favored by 10 to Tennessee and by 17 to LSU correct? Just let Vegas determine who is better.

TCU earned their spot. Get over it.

No the basis was the Bama had an extra loss and TCU had more quality wins and their only loss came in OT in the conference championship game. They also had a common opponent in Texas that TCU defeated by a larger margin.

You might have missed it, but the playoff field was already set.

bama also lost twice and would have gotten smoked a 3rd time had they made it to Atl.

And when I said that the evaluation of the records needed to include strong consideration for the fact SEC > Big 12, everyone was like “SEC is weak this year bruh, TCU’s schedule was legit!”

You’re a strange man Jonathan. Hope you recover from Bama not making the playoffs and have a nice day.

When your “big” non-con game is the likes of Colorado I’m sure the Big 12’s record was very pretty.

The Big 12 this year is closer to the strength of the AAC than the SEC.

That’s why the Big 12 is only favored against Air Force and a team from the other junior P5 conference, PAC 12.

It’s ok to acknowledge it.
