Seeing Elton John live: what's it like?

Visiting London soon and Sir Elton John is playing at an arena 3 miles from my hotel. The wife wants to go and see it but I'm not a big Elton John fan, however, I do feel it would be unique experience.
For anyone who has seen him recently does he put on a decent show?

I'm not a fan either, but he put on an excellent live show and you'd probably enjoy it. I didn't realize how many of his songs I recognized.
We saw him in baton rouge a few years ago.

He has a few songs you might recognize.
How is this even a question? Of course you should go. He’s a legend.

Then go. Saw him at the Hartford Civic Center in 87 or 88. It was pretty good.

Saw him this year. The legend factor is in play and he played almost all of his hits. Although Crocodile Rock was missing. His voice is not what it once was due to age and the surgery he had a couple of years ago.
If the wife wants to go by all means go.

Elton John puts on a hell of a show. He's lost a step at 75 but he's still worth seeing. He has a great band.

I openly shed a tear. True story.

He just sits at the piano in a few diff outfits and plays the hits. Saw him last year he’s still got it….

Went to his last North American show “ever” a few weeks ago …. It was pretty great. Don’t overthink going to one of his last shows in his home country

Saw him in BR at the River Center and it was a great show with his performance and his band.

I saw him in '84. Great performance.
Took a chick, ate dinner, skinny dipped at a golf course pond and banged on a green

That was my experience. Friends took me to his last Houston show. Never thought about how many songs of his I knew, until seeing him knock them out one after another.
In spite of his age and limited mobility, he still seemed to love performing and kept thanking the audience, along with telling some stories about some of the songs and how he wrote them. Great experience.

Saw him recently (just after a bout with Covid) and it was a fantastic show. His band was a lot of the guys he played with in the early to mid 70s and the setlist was mostly from that time period, which to me is by far his best stuff.
You won't regret it, I'd definitely go again.

Me too. He was terrific.
I imagine this concert will be expensive like all the others, but he's worth every penny watching live. He puts on a great show.

I'd absolutely go. One of the ones I never saw that I wish I had.
I'm a little shocked by those here that don't seemt o realize the depth of his catalogue and how many hits he had. One of the best ever.

I saw his Red piano? Show in Vegas in the mid 2000’s and it was on the last night of a long run. I thought he kinda went through the motions. I’m glad I can say I saw him though. By the way I’ve been disappointed by legends Willie and Stevie Wonder in the same way. I guess everyone has blah days/nights when they’re not totally into it

Saw him in Baton Rouge at the river center about 5 or 6 years ago.

Saw him in Memphis in 2003 and that was a memorable show
He crushed it for almost 3 hours
Not sure if they still do it but they have a camera that focuses solely on the keys and it was mesmerizing watching him tickle the ivory
