What is everyone’s recommendation? TIA

Wife got me the Bullseye for Bday. Highly recommend
It actually gets 750 degrees for searing steaks and can also smoke at 250 degrees. Not many others are functionally capable of "Do All"

250 is the lowest it can smoke?

If price is no concern, rec tec. If price is a concern, get a z grill.

I'd probably look at Grilla Grills and Camp Chef that are in the same range but Rec Teq is solid and likely the most sure fire thing out there.

I've never had a Traeger so I can't comment on those. I have a reqteq 590 and it's awesome. Maintains temp like a champ and works like it should. Never had a problem with it for over 2 years. I use it a lot too.

I have a recteq 590. I love it and have no complaints about it so far

If price is the same for all of these and recteq is going to be the most reliable/best results, why look at the others? Unless I’m mis reading something?

RT by a mile. When you do a deep dive into specs, a comparable Traeger will cost a lot more.

All of them have a unique thing to them. Camp Chef has an easy pellet ash cleaning deal and an optional side burner add on. Some may get higher temp. May be built out of different material. These unique items might appeal to the buyer and attract them to one pellet grill or the other.

Ive been eyeing the Bullseye for a long time. What have you smoked on it? Can it do a whole turkey? A brisket? Good for grilling burgers and such?

Yep.

I don't use my Bullseye at high temps other than searing steaks.
I'd shy away from doing burgers on it unless you use a griddle, the flare up problems are pretty bad with burgers, even with a grease pan on the heat deflector.

I see they have a newer bullseye that gets up to 1000 degrees but it’s a few hundred more. Is that even necessary?

I saw that too...I like the wireless controls, but I don't need anything that gets to 1000F unless I'm burning vapors off a gasoline storage tank.

I was sort of hoping to get rid of my Weber gas grill just due to space constraints. I guess youre saying id need both?
I honestly rarely cook burgers. More chicken, kabobs, grilled vegetables, etc. Think it would work of for that with the occasional smoked burger?

I have both, when I first got my Bullseye I'd say I was almost 100% only using it to smoke, everything else went on my gas grill.
I've had my Bullseye for about 2 years now, I don't think I've turned my gas grill on in 5-6 months, everything is done on the Bullseye once I figured out exactly how to use it at higher temps without setting my patio on fire.

Would be perfect for that.
