The rapper and former leader separately announced their intention to run for U.S. President in 2024 recently, and they met up at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida this week, where West surprised Trump by asking him to be his running mate.

“He basically gives me this would-be mob-esque kinda story,” West said, “talking to some kid from the South Side of Chicago trying to sound mobby or whatever, he goes into this story about all that he went through to get Alice Johnson out of jail, and how he didn’t do it for Kim, but he did it for me. But then he goes on to say that Kim is [bleep] and you can tell her I said that. I was thinking like, that’s the mother of my children.”

Possibly the most troubling part of the video comes at the end, when West seems to call for a Christian theocracy in the United States. “Since we know — and all the Christians in America that love Trump — know that Trump is a conservative, we’re going to demand that you hold all policies directly to the bible.”

Trump, apparently, did not react well to Ye’s return to the political arena. “Trump started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I was gonna lose. I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history?” He chuckles. “I’m like, hold on hold on, you’re talking about Ye.”

The conversation came after their visit to Trump’s Floridian resort earlier this month. The Daily Beast reported that West brought Fuentes with him to the meeting, a fact the rapper seemed to confirm in a tweet later on Thursday night, posting a screen grab of a text exchange discussing the dinner, referring to Fuentes’ presence.

In a statement to Axios, Trump referred to an unexpected guest: “Kanye West very much wanted to visit Mar-a-Lago. Our dinner meeting was intended to be Kanye and me only, but he arrived with a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about.”

In a "Mar-a-Lago debrief" video posted on Twitter on Thursday, West claimed that Trump was "perturbed" by his request and yelled that he was going to lose his campaign during their dinner.

"I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about, me asking him to be my Vice President. I think that was lower on the list of things that caught him off-guard. It was the fact that I walked in with intelligence," West said.

The ego to intelligence ratio in that room is abysmal.

Say what you want about Trump.

But Kanye is off the rails, dude is textbook bipolar and needs to stay on his meds.

I enjoy some of his music but he is not stable by any objective measure.

Is this a spin-off thread from the Definition of Insanity thread?

Is Ye super needy for a shot in the arm of more AA fandom and/or approval? He doesn’t exactly seem to me to be a very needy person in that regard. And surely it’s not that he’s hard up for more income.

These two are conjoined. Let us all just marinate in that for a moment.

A former President of the United States who had his own reality TV show and a mentally ill performer are what conservatism in this country has been reduced to.

But somehow Ron Desantis isn't the right man for the job. A man who has shown integrity and nobility in how he has conducted himself isn't worthy to hold the office of the Presidency over a man who has the political savviness and charisma of a stomach pump.

Donald Trump entertaining and granting an audience to someone like Kanye West is in so many ways worse than Joe Biden allowing himself to be interviewed by the Wet arse Pussy gal.

Both have debased and sullied the office to the point to where the damage may be irreparable.

Look here mr. anonymous internet message board smart guy, if you’d stop trying to make your mere opinions appear as expert commentary, that would be nice. And know your place: he’s billionaire former President of the United States, running again and as likely as any other to win…….and you’re, well you know. And me too hell. I’m right there with you. Differing views but both anonymous internet cool guys. That won’t get us very far though.

Ye, Trump, Mypillow guy, Alex jones, etc should all be hidden in a closet until 2025.

Let DeSantis and the adults show you how to do 2024 correctly.
