I went to buy my thanksgiving turkey today and all they had were turkeys that are frozen solid. Do I need to bake it hot and fast to thaw it quickly? Or low and slow for a few hours and risk the skin being a little bit chewy?

If it’s frozen, don’t attempt to cook it.

Just fry it. It's the only way to cook a frozen turkey at the last minute. Season the oil like a crawfish boil since you can't inject a frozen turkey.

Lol, keep it in room temp water for about 3-4 hours until thawed. Spatchcock and Dry brine it over night in fridge. Season it with everything but salt tomorrow. And bake, smoke, etc. Hope you aren't eating early.

It sucks when this Thanksgiving holiday just sneaks up on you.

I wish they would pick a more permanent date so we could plan better.

Put it in your sink in cold water for several hours. Make sure the water is cold. It will thaw out enough to cook.

Pop that frozen bad boy in a 400 degree oven an hour before service. You’ll be the hero of Thanksgiving forever.
