I highly doubt it. Unless it’s a blowout.

But good lord it would be funny. The media and their MUH SEC BIAS would shite a collective brick.

Ohio state beats Michigan and Iowa state takes care of business, we are #3 and If USC loses, Michigan will be #4

Why does it matter?

It will work itself out as long as we beat UGA.

We will imo unless USC jumps us with a win over ND. Both will be ahead of the B1G loser though who will fall to around Clemson and Bama.

Yes.
UM-OSU loser will drop behind SC if SC wins.

If an Ohio State University curb stomps Meechigan and LSU likewise lights up the sack-grabbers (with, say, JD and Harold having remarkable performances), it will be almost impossible to keep them out of the #4 spot.

Additionally, if USC stinks it up in any way against ND, that will only add fuel to the LSU-is-a-legit-playoff-contender convo...

I think we're #4 with a win no matter what. Especially if Michigan loses. Listening the committee chair talk about USC last night, I fully expect the loser of OSU/Mich to fall out of the top 4 and for LSU to slide up one spot.

Doesnt matter... our fate is tied to SECCG provided we win vs aTm. Win we in, lose we out. Dont matter what spot then.

I don't care as long as they don't drop Michigan past Alabama.

Media is clamoring to have that Los Angeles USC market watching the playoff again.

Agreed, wouldn't even matter if we're #2 before the Champ game. We HAVE to win to get in. I'd say the only lock is the winner of OH/MI & GA if things stay the same.

Not sure, but I think with a loss, UM would fall further than OSU for a few reasons.

They are already 1 spot below OSU.

Their schedule has been very weak.

They had all they could handle against a shitty Illini team at home just last week. Two shitty showings in a row wouldn't help their cause much.

I don't think UM is the media darlings that OSU is.

Personally I think if Michigan wins, ohio st. Will drop to 5 assuming LSU, TCU, and USC all win.
1 Georgia
2 Michigan
3 TCU
4 USC
5 Ohio st.
6 LSU

If Ohio st wins they may be 1 or 2 depending on how strong Georgia looks this week. And Michigan falls to 6
1 Georgia/ ohio st
3TCU
4 USC
5 LSU
6 mich

No, but if LSU beats a&m and ga we make the playoffs.

Edit: the only way we make it to 4 is if TCU loses or USC loses.

I think either way the loser of The Game is probably below us after this weekend, but I think it’s realistic that USC may finally jump us if they beat ND handily. The reason we’re above USC now is because we have the best win of the season in the nation and they have no good wins. ND would be a solid little victory for them.

Doesn’t matter where we land now or next week anyway, because if we beat UGA we’re in in the end. Denial of that fact is pointless.
