Following Saturday's loss to TCU -- which ranks far lower in the recruiting rankings yet seems to win anyway -- Sarkisian is 11-11 overall and 7-9 in the Big 12. Tom Herman went 13-9 in his first 22 games but was 9-6 in the Big 12 and went to a bowl game his first season. And after going 0-4 against ranked teams in his first season and losing to Oklahoma, Herman started his second season with three wins against ranked teams, including a 48-45 win over No. 7 Oklahoma (No. 22 USC and No. 17 TCU were the others). After Saturday's loss, Sarkisian is 2-6 against ranked teams, with the wins coming last week against Kansas State and in the 2021 opener against Louisiana. Like Herman, Sark beat Oklahoma in his second season, but the Oklahoma that Herman beat was a top-10 team that finished 12-2 and reached the College Football Playoff. The Oklahoma team Sarkisian beat is 5-5 and may not make a bowl.

Arch Manning is stepping into a pressure cooker. Poor kid.

One or both of LSU coordinators might be gone after this year.

How does this relate to this thread? Looks like your want to start a new thread without stepping out there.

I think he’s around until they sign Manning. After he’s on campus, his days are numbered.

2 more years.

If he’s still losing 4 games per year in his 4th year, he’s out, especially with Kelly in the CFP conversation in year 1 at LSU.

This guy has posted the same thing in several CC threads. Neither coordinators are leaving after year one.

He will get next year but the seat will be hot if it doesn't start well. Kiffin to Texas scares me a lot more than Kiffin to Auburn.

What are you basing this opinion on? Denbrock is 58 and has been a lifelong position coach/coordinator. Would think that his ambition to be a head coach would have already been realized if he wanted that opportunity. House maybe, but that’s still a big ask if you listen to him talk. You’d need to be more worried about him going back to the NFL because he doesn’t want to deal with the recruiting game.

Kiffin to Texas. Hold on a minute while I put that on another board. Yep, that is where he is headed.

Denbrock isn't going anywhere. House isn't going to get a Tier 1 5 job right now. He isn't taking a lower Tier job just to be a HC. He is probably in for fat raise to get him to 2.2-2.3 million per year.

Maybe, just maybe Texas needs to exercise a little patience and the boosters need to back off just a little bit.
