In context, nothing about what Jamie did is a killable offense, in normal reality. In Yellowstone fantasy land, it’s the lit dynamite that sends Rip into a frenzy that’s always being teased.

Beth: Remember when we were shitty teenagers? You knocked me up. Jamie took me to get an abortion, but made the conscious decision to sterilize my arse because he knew how shitty of a human being I was, and you were an orphan ranch hand.

Rip: is that all?

yeah, we haven't gotten that yet. I really expected it after they blew Beth up in the office. Rip vs Rourke would have been fun.

I also wanted to see a John and Kayce vs Wade and his son. But, we didn't get that either.

Poached from Reddit:

Major plot hole. They never explained how Beth knew where to go when she photographed Jamie at the train station. Recall that she was waiting in the shadows for him there.

Then in this season, she has no clue about the train station and lights into John about it.

Already posted and discussed. It's clear they aren't even trying at this point. I guess you get good ratings and put out crap, you just keep putting out crap.

Another plot hole. Wasn’t Rip branded when he killed his dad and John found him? Then they brand him after he kills this wrangler?

they never really said. John just said, the price was "pain". Which I thought meant the branding. I don't know if they showed him shirtless at any point while he was banging teen Beth.

I'm guessing it was this. Maybe he got a pass as a kid?

Nah- in the end of the season, she'll have a hand in saving Beth's life, or vice versa- then they'll show each of them begrudgingly nod to each other. It's the hokey BS you can count on from these writers.

The guy playing Jimmy is either sick in real life or he has himself a little meth problem.

Was the Wrangler that Rip killed out of anger cause he wanted to bang Beth before or after Beth gets knocked up? Could that have been the catalyst for baby making?

Rip: He wanted to put his hands on your arse so I hit him in the head with a rock for you, baby.

Beth: Put a baby in me, than frick off for years.

I would say before... but with these writers? Who knows?

They may impregnate Beth next season.

- if the herd is vaccinated for Brucellosis, then there’s no need to move the herd only the unvaccinated calves until 4-6 months old. Stupid writing Sheridan

- murder can be prosecuted where it started, or even where the preparation and plan occurred. Also if that county had no jury of your peers, then I would assume a change of venue would be granted to a different county.

- if the Feds got involved, the jury pool would come from the within the District not just that county. - poor writing Sheridan

- There was a helicopter used in S1, and it seems like it would have come in handy several times since. - poor writing Sheridan.

- Beth at the literal train station now not knowing where the train station is? This makes no sense. - poor writing Sheridan.

- Member the first couple seasons where the “villains” died during the season? I member. But since the scar, the explosions, and the last 2 seasons, there’s no murder. No murder? No fun. - poor writing Sheridan.

- the loaded the Chuck wagons on a car hauler and hauled them to Texas. Really? Like they couldn’t just buy Chuck wagons in Texas? I have a feeling not many ranches still use them except for cow sales, gimmicks, and dip shite TV shows. They might have just as well strapped down their Yeti ice chests full of “Banquet” and headed South.

I’m old enough to remember Dallas. They managed YEARS of good writing (less and except the dream season). But only a dream season can fix this shite.

- one more thing, real cowboys wear ball caps, tennis shoes or hip boots. They use Powder River squeeze chutes vs team roping a calf to vaccinate and brand. They don’t listen to that acoustic guitar crap, but they will listen to Hard rock, hip hop and belly rubbing music. But NO cowboy drinks Coors Banquet. Coors Light maybe, but most likely Lite, Bud Light, or Ultra. None of this “cowboy shite” is real. A real cowboy won’t lay on a damn log under the stars, they’ll ride their damn Polaris Ranger to a cheap motel and lay up with a wife for the night and lie their arse off to the Boss about watching damn cows.

Worst writing of the most recent episode:

Hot brunette Jamie is screwing: “Assign yourself a security detail”

Jamie: “that’s defense, what if I want to play….offense?”

The acting is pure shite. From everyone. From top to bottom this show is just arse. It's like signing a free agent QB, who's put up all pro numbers, then shits the bed. You are stuck paying him for what he used to be. We are stuck watching Yellowstone for what it used to be.

Rip vs. Rourke = rattlesnake in an ice chest. It was pretty fun, though decidedly brief.

I still think Jamie pulls an Alfred from Legends of the Fall and redeems himself in the end. It's obvious Sheridan is pulling stuff from LotF both in Yellowstone and especially 1923.

I think you're probably right, but it won't make me like it. He's just such a wuss and so stupid to be a big time lawyer that it will be totally out of character.

It’s called…a character arc. Something No other character on Yellowstone has had. Jimmy is the only one who actually…changed as a human. Everyone else is locked in concrete.

LMAO! Of course, they pick on of the characters I care the least about. He can change all they want, but it won't make me care.

Meh, he explained his actions pretty well to Beth, and he's right about the ranch. That's why Beth actually took it and didn't have some smart arse come back.

On the telling Rip thing, I sure thought he already knew. Maybe I dreamed it.

This. I could not understand the absolute inefficiency in the brand/castrate/vaccine scene. I guess it looked cooler.
