Just fast forward by the sliding horses and the Sheridan pimping his country band friends scenes and it's not bad.

I wouldn't call it a western other than the fact it's set in Montana and all the guys, other than fuctard Jamie, wear cowboy hats.

Its a western because they tell us how hard it is to be a cowboy every 15 minutes!

The storyline of animals attacking the railroad workers was taken from Red Dead Redemption the video game where wolves attack a logging operations workers.

If you think RDR created that plot device then I don’t know what else to say.

Also, Top Gun came out this summer. When exactly do you think 1923 was written and filmed and edited?

I’m losing it on this show now that both sides seem to be hiring hit men to kill each other. This season is too slow and getting too ridiculous.

The midseason finale not generating much interest would seem to show it was a dud.

The previews showed Jamie announcing impeachment so that was no surprise and there wasn't much else other than talking hitmen with the high price whore.

Beth knows who the ho really is doesn't she?

I've jumped around episodes a bit so may be remembering something different, but I do remember her looking someone up online and finding a different name.

I figure she called her a high price whore for a reason and not because she really thinks the broad is a hooker.
I took it the same way- that she knows who she is (or at least who she works for).

i mentioned the problem with Beth exposing the body dump a while back. But, i wrongly assumed that since she was a Dutton she knew about the train station. So, the whole black mail thing isn't going to work. Also, Jamie mentioning the train station in front of the ME chick could cause some problems.

During John's explanation to Beth about the site he said that's where the guys who attacked her went. But, last we saw they were hanging on the patio at the Beck's house. How/when did they get to the train station?

If he's not actually playing the ME chick then, Jamie has reached the point of no return. There's no coming back from this latest play.

Planning to kill the AG seems like a pretty bad idea.

And..

Apparently Lainey Wilson has take exception to the talk regarding her buut size.

1 or 2?

Oh, and we have to wait until summer for the next episode? What kind of shite this?

And we don't get to see either Rip or Kayce's reaction to Jamie's latest move.

They were pretty much the only 2 that stuck with him all of this time.

This got me thinking, when was the last time Rip/Kayce had any interaction with Jamie?

She's going to be the one that saves it - her indian ancestry and the ties to the res will be how they keep the development out

Walker is with the group going to Texas, right? But, he isn't supposed to leave the state. Unless Governor John fixed that as well.

I tend to feel she's going to be there for the long haul. She and John have established a bond that she's really connected to.

Both Beth and Jamie's plans are stupid and would cause immediate federal investigation, then again in this world no one questions hit squads blowing up buildings at the same time as rushing into the Livestock Commissioner's office and getting in a shoot out and the "largest" rancher in the state getting shot on side of the road.

One oddity from the last episode is Beth finding out about the train station. Every member of the family and half of the bunkhouse knows about it. No way she is just finding out.

I know I thought that was absurd. As much of a hardass as she is, she'd have asked questions by now and somebody would've caved or at least alluded to it. That said, I wonder if any bodies got dumped there IRL after the show by some sucker .

ETA - pretty sure you would have to kill them in them there for it to work successfully.

I doubt it. Its been long known that the area they are alluding to (not the actual highway on the show) is just short on population to create a "jury of peers", per the 6th amendment. Its a perceived loophole that I'm sure can be closed if needed.

Too many women viewers like Beth. No way they kill her off before the very, very end. If at all.
