You argued that Spears wasn’t a position change because he was destined for DE

Because he was. I added him to the subject to stop your whining, too.

Now you are arguing that HP40 has been moved to this ambiguous edge position,

Get with the times, bro.

which is as much conceptual as it is position based

Not really. It's been a standard position for like 10 years now.

Look at the position for BJ in the upcoming draft.

Edge/DE

Edge

Edge

Edge

And his 247 profile? Edge

On3? Edge

I didn't make this up, despite what you think.

which he has posted doesn’t just blitz, but is in a “edge/spy” role.

He plays edge and he spies. 2 different things.

BJ also spies and drops in coverage sometimes, but he's clearly an edge.

He was drafted at LB but then they discovered he's an elite edge. He does play some LB, too.

Perkins seems to be Parsons in reverse, which is good for us. PSU lost a lot of EV playing Parsons at LB

The only answer is Mo Claiborne. Nobody else won the hardware he did. WR to DB won Thorpe award.

Reed went from RB to WR and won the Biletnikoff.

And due respect to Mo, but Tyrann wins the Thorpe if he doesn’t get suspended that 1 game. Tyrann was like Thorpe player of the week or something a couple times early in the season (I think after Oregon and WVU).

Corey Webster by far because LSU doesn’t win the 2003 title without him which essentially started the run

edge (which, in Madden positions can be a DE or LB).

After the reaction to not playing Perkins (our 2nd best edge and most explosive edge), they clearly had a come to Jesus meeting

He's not playing LB though. He's an edge.

Distinction without a difference.

“He’s not a wide receiver he’s a slot”

“He’s not a safety he’s a nickel”

These are all variations of the same position. Perkins has not been moved and lined up at linebacker a bunch last night.

It’s just ambiguous to you because you don’t know what it is.

I’m not sure why this is such a fight but him playing on the edge is a good thing

You think Myles Garrett and Fred Warner are a "distinction without a difference"?

Exactly.

Like I said earlier, PSU lost a LOT of EV playing Parsons at LB

LSU is facing an unexpected positional arbitrage opportunity and it's glorious.

Who was the TE fromMiss coast who Saban tried to switch to offense and he did not want to do it. Saban did talk him into playing DE as a freshman because they needed help and he substituted as a freshman there. They got him to lay OG the next year and he became an AA there and was on the NC team.
