Jacques said on the two point play he stayed in the student section to capture their reaction. After we won the game and everybody stormed the field, he said Scott Woodward had both hands in his pocket, looked around very calmly, and walked to the tunnel like it was another Monday on the job. Woodward knows he got his man!

I just can't believe how long Alleva was able to keep his job. That dude was the worst AD in history, and everyone knew it as soon as the hire was made.

Not everyone. You still have a few that think of him as their savior because he hired Orgeron. Pirate King being the main one. He will not miss a single opportunity to shite on Woodward.

Will Wade brought LSU basketball back from the dead. I’m hoping Matt McMahon does a great job, but Will Wade brought energy to a completely dormant program. I won’t forget what he did for LSU basketball.

Speaking as someone from NC, Duke had just gone through the whole lacrosse incident, and Alleva told Duke that he had an offer from LSU, hoping to leverage more money. Pretty much everyone on the Duke side said "Go ahead", and made no effort to keep him.
Also, Alleva had already tried the "keep the interim football coach" play at Duke, with Ted Roof. It didn't work.
