Spinoff from the Bass (range) Singers thread. Top priority given to their voice, but not totally disregarding their chops on bass.
There are a lot of really good ones. I'd probably have to go Greg Lake at #1 for me. I prefer Rush to ELP and ITCOTCK, but Greg has such a pleasant voice on songs like Still, You Turn Me On and Simple Man.
Others:
Geddy Lee
Phil Lynott
Paul McCartney
John Wetton
Sting
Dusty Hill
Royston Langdon

I'm gonna have to go with Phil Lynott. Or maybe Dug Pinnick. That's a pick 'em for me.

He only sang lead on rare occasions, but Metallica bassist Jason Newsted had bark. His backing vocals were amazing and sorely missed since he left the band.

Agree on Benjamin Orr. I’ll also add Steve Kilbey (The Church) and Mark Burgess (The Chameleons)

Paul McCartney
Benjamin Orr
Jack Bruce
One could do a HELL of a lot worse than any of those 3 guys.
