1. Democrats will not change course on anything; they wildly outperformed expectations, except in Florida.

2. Biden is their 2024 nominee unless he is fully incapacitated.

3. Republicans wildly underperformed, and heads should roll.

4. There is a lot of hope for the Republican coalition given their performance with Hispanic and black voters. But their candidate quality was poor and their leadership was either absent or counterproductive.

5. Candidate quality matters -- underlying dynamics are not strong enough to drive bad candidates to victory.

6. Donald Trump was a major drag on Republicans, from his picks to his antics.Trump picked bad candidates, spent almost no money on his hand-picked candidates, and then proceeded to crap on the Republicans who lost and didn't sufficiently bend the knee. This will have 2024 impact.

7. The Republican leadership class, paralyzed by the Trump phenomenon, failed to provide any leadership at all...

8. Except for DeSantis, who was a leader, an excellent candidate, and an organizer of his own party, leading to a Florida red tsunami.

If Rand was in charge of things, we would be talking about the 21st century being the American century.

Turtle and Graham are to blame!

Graham knew what he was doing by reigniting the abortion flame.

DeSantis is the future and Trump cannot be the nominee or 2024 will be a complete wipeout.

That should be obvious to anyone at this point.

People keep wanting to blame Trump, when McConnel and the GOP leadership is actually to blame.

Republican leadership will always be a problem… the idealogy lends itself to poor leadership.

One of the things people fail to understand also, is that the majority of republican candidates were massively outspent. Money matters. Fundraising needs to get to all of the candidates. Ronna McDaniel has to go and McConnell shouldn't get to choose which of his buddies gets the money.

He doesn’t know shite, R’s will get rolled again until they stop the cheat.

Trump or not it won’t matter, people need to wake up and make that the only point. They need to start going at mail in voting like their lives depend on it.

He's not wrong. I will say that what we've allowed universities to do in terms of 18 to 29 year olds is going to be the ruin of the nation though

How can this only be true for republicans?

By every objective measure fetter man and Hobbs were all time worst candidates. One had a stroke and the other refused to debate

So how is it only true for republicans?

Republican establishment failed to support their own candidates because they were endorsed by Trump.

Winning was secondary to trying to purge Trump.

Their plan worked.

But ignoring your voters is how you get Trump in the first place.

Trump is not the disease. He was an attempt to treat it.

Trump will fade, he's 78, but the disease will rage.

Not bringing up mail in voting as a major contributor to a big victory for Dems when the economy is being gutted and inflation at all time highs is a big miss.

If Republicans ever want to control anything again voter laws are going to have to change quickly.

DeSantis is a unicorn. If Rs need unicorns but Ds can elect Fetterman, we are fricked long term.
