Instead of complaining about it on TD. Have you tried reporting it on the RedStick311 app?
No need, they've already been reported and are well aware of them (as witnessed by the stop signs placed in the intersections, weighted with sand bags).

I think the ones on Main and North got messed up when the started putting in the new street meters. If I had to guess they might be waiting to finish the meter installation before fixing the lights.
That's a possibility. The North & 4th light went out around the time they seemed to be doing some cabling work along 4th in front of the state museum.

I was told that a city parish truck towing an excavator on a trailer hit the Airline overpass because the boom was too high. State dotd had to inspect for damage and hire a contractor to fix it. State says that the city is responsible for the damage. Guess what the city says.?
Typical. No one wants to be the adult in the room and fix it, they would rather play hot potato.

A contractor boring for the traffic light synchronization projects snagged scrap steel that was buried under N. 9th St. and Main.
The ensuring steel snag ripped the power cable out for the traffic signals. Those traffic lights belong to city.
Interesting. Thanks for the info!

No. It literally has not. It has been out since the beginning of October.
Just heard back from City of BR, it's been around 7 weeks so mid-September.

The problem with litter is there is no personal responsibilty. I have seen folks just throw litter out of their vehicle on the interstate, in parking lots and just about anywhere. Parks and scenic attractions are not excluded.
If the city picks up litter, some dipwad will litter right back.
People need to quit littering and garbage trucks need to cover their loads.
Law enforcement needs to enforce the litter laws.
The government shouldn't have to pick up after the pigs who litter and it ticks me off that my taxes go to pick up other folks' trash.

Broome put up a sign 3 years ago at College @ Perkins touting the great road improvements to come on College. Still nothing and the roadway is falling apart. Typical Democrat--words speak louder than actions.

You're right, though it doesn't hurt to keep reporting it. Might help if we flood them with report tickets from the app.

I agree with you in principal that people shouldn’t litter. They shouldn’t rape or Murder either, but…
Cleaning it up is the city’s responsibility. How bout you get prisoners to clean it up. WBR does this. Place is still a dump, but it’s a clean dump. At least for one day.

We pay taxes for them to pick up trash. It’s embarrassing that we rely on nice, Ole ladies to do it for us.
And by not doing anything, it seems to attract more trashy people to trash in the same dumping spots.

Great idea! Let other people do it.
The prisoners, the city, community groups pick it up and people re-litter. They won't keep up until people take responsibility. Same with crime.
Nothing will change until people quit littering and acting as arse.
WBR is the smallest parish in the state. Also, prison labor isn't free labor. That's your taxes that could go to fire, police, mosquito patrol

These are both STATE, not CITY road projects.
It’s frustrating seeing so many miles of large 4 lane highways with zero reflectors, barely visible stripes, and very worn pavement.
It’s the norm in Louisiana.

This is sad because this is a state capital
So is Jackson.
I wonder if there's some sort of common denominator.

The onramp from Florida eastbound to Airline northbound. This has been closed since at least the summer and remains so to this day. There has been zero work done on this in months (at least none that I've seen in the near-daily trips I make through there).

Have been down visiting, and the roads are getting to be as bad as a 3rd world country..definitely as bad as JacksoN, MS.
