Kelly clearly told Brody Miller he didn’t trust the refs

Kelly was not pleased with the officiating. A specific rule few knew or understood overturned an LSU takeaway. There were questionable ball spots and a pass interference call near the end of regulation that LSU thought shouldn’t have stood because the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage.

quote:

“There was no way that I was gonna let somebody else decide the outcome of this game,” Kelly told his players in the locker room. “We weren’t gonna come back into this locker room saying I wish we got this call or that call, because the only guys I trust are the guys in this locker room

I’m sure BK was more explicit off the record, or Brody wouldn’t have included these paragraphs.

Yeah I made a thread on the Score Board last night saying Kelly had to learn you can't be complacent against Bama because you have to beat them and the refs.

For being new here, he completely understands what LSU is up against when we play Bama. It’s no coincidence that officiating is poor every time we play them.

Memories of the 2000 game at TS come to mind. Officials "didn't see" Bama muff a punt and LSU recover it. Saban(@LSU) held up the game until they did see it (on Jumbotron).

The refs suck but

How is not knowing the rules the refs fault?

A lot of people either don’t remember or gloss this. I think we were about to riot. I was SEZ and it wasn’t looking pretty.

A&M has the 12th man
Bama has the 12th, 13th, and 14th man

It was on full display at the beginning if the season against Texas and hasn’t let up since.

I don't have a problem with the rule per se, but it was more about the interpretation of possession of the ball.

And overturning the interpretation on the field.

Had it been Bama recovering the ball they would have ruled that the ball was possessed before it was touched … that’s how it’s the refs fault

I feel like a majority of the posts you make are equivalent to the real life playing out of a meme you’re completely unaware of.

As if you’re saying to us all, “Let me show you I have a micropenis without showing you I have a micropenis.”

You’re the strangest combination of ego and insecurity I’ve ever seen.

This. I was in the west upper and we were about to come down and run the refs off of the field. TS came unglued (and not in a good way) for a good 15-20 minutes. I think the refs changed that call because they literally feared for their personal safety and reputation.

The refs not understanding what constitutes possession is definitely the refs fault

So many horrible calls by the refs, but to blow both reviewed calls is atrocious...Brooks had both hands on the ball...

One that sticks out to me, and at least the refs got the review right, was a first down that the side judge clearly gave Bama 3 frickING YARDS and the first down when it was so obvious he was a yard short...

Another one was the TD pass by Young when Perkins was slammed to the ground and no holding call...

Its these consistent little things the refs do that add up throughout the game the refs do for Bama they have benefitted from for decades...I remember this shite happening during the Bear Bryant years as well...
