Harold Perkins was the key to defense all night

A lot of guys played their best games, but Young had to account for Perkins every single play whether he was rushing or spying. As soon as HP goes out with a cramp Young suddenly gets extra time to throw and Bama scores a TD. He looked a bit slowed by the time he went back in but still made plays. House used HP masterfully. They really couldn’t account for both him and Ojulari at the same time.

The key to the defense was 90, 99, and 92. Those guys won the middle all night. They dominated Bama. 18, 11 and 40 played great, too. And is everyone else starting to notice the fifth great freshman, DeMario Tolan?
