100 Push Ups a Day

Been trying to do 100 push ups per day for an entire month. Im on day 10 so far. Feeling a little burnt out but 100 push ups is low enough to just push through it.
Has anyone benefitted from doing a workout like this?

Seems like soreness would set in and you would be working sore muscles. Maybe rotate with sit-ups.

PPSA has put that myth to bed for me with their programs, Squatober should make everyone a believer.

AA is just better at managing fatigue than other programs. I’ve done multiple squat 4-5 times a week programs and my knees always aches. I’ve not had one knee issue and I ran squatober prep and squatober.

Are you breaking the pushups up into multiple sets throughout the day?
I do 200+ a day, but its done over a period of 10 hours or so.

I do the same thing. I started at 100 but now do 250 a day. I break it up in sets of 30-35 over the course of an hour. The first set I am always sore and it is the toughest. The rest of the sets are quick and easy.

The best part is that it gets your mind right about daily exercise. You start with a simple goal, push through, and then add other exercises.

I went hard for Squatober last year, and it honestly kinda fricked my training for the next few months. It was like a crash. My two training partners that ran it said the same. We made some gains, and got PR's, but it took me a good 6 months to get my training back on track.
100 pushups a day is doable, just have to space them out. If you try to just knock them out quick everyday, joints and tendons are going to start becoming a weak link.

One of the reasons I skipped arm farm. I didn’t like the idea of squats once a week after 5x. But honestly, Squatober wasn’t much of a peak so why y’all had such a drastic crash seems weird to me. I’m doing a totally different rep scheme with hypertrophy so I may experience the same. However, these light weights are flying

We pushed it. 3 of us with relatively similar training weights. We went off 100% of our max for the month rather than 95. Mid way through we bumped up as the program said to do. We didn't miss a rep or set. We just went all in. We also were training around 4:30 am. Our bodies were just tired and we didn't do a good come off program. We just went back into sbd, and cleans. We didn't plan like we needed to. You live you learn. I plan on running it next year.

I started doing this during the pandemic work from home. I would do four sets of 25 to start and then incorporated pullups too. After the lock down was over, i was in perfect shape to trade up to our small condo gym.

What's the point of something like this compared to normal programming? No rest. No progression.
It just seems inefficient and a good way to pick up a shoulder or tendon overuse injury. It feels like a very dated way of thinking about building muscle/getting in shape.

I’ve done 10k push up challenge 3 different times. I’ve also done 100 pull ups/200 push ups/ 300 air squats each day for 30 days 3 different times. Once by itself, once with 3 miles per day added in and another with 100 burpees a day added in.
Each time I felt great after the 30 days. Around day 7-12 I always would start to get sore and feel burnt out.
However, your body WILL adapt and you will start to have some of your best reps and workouts over the rest of the days.
It also enforces discipline, which does something for the mind.
I would keep on!

Try 30 when you get out of bed, 30 when you go to bed. Something you repeat, without fail, will be better than the gold standard that you end up quitting after a month. 30/30 increased my bench 30lbs in a month (when I was ~20.)
Pushups aren't the endgame, they're a means to something. Adjust based on what you're aiming at. Half the time, I used pushups to train myself to keep my elbows in during benching, that was their purpose.
