Sounds like some great memories

My guy Bubba is 17 and showing some wear and tear, won’t be long I’m sure

I feel for you, man. We had to put down our thirteen year old British Blue shorthair this past September. We miss the old curmudgeon. We decided not to wait on getting another pet so we are picking up our Scottish Fold kitten in ten days.

Sorry for your loss. Enjoyed the read. Great looking dog. I’m looking for one that doesn’t shed. Size is right too. Where would one find this breed? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one locally.

So sorry you lost your pup, Haze. Hopefully enough time has passed so that you are beginning to think happy thoughts about him and the grief is starting to fade a bit.

I feel your pain, brother. When my little guy Gus died in 2015 I cried for days. It's hard to explain to someone how much you can love a dog unless that person has been though it as well

You gave your little guy a great life, and when it came time you put an end to his suffering and eased him out of this world. That was your gift to him. His gift to you was 13 years of love and companionship and all the memories you have of him now

Sorry about your buddy. My granddog passed a little over a year ago. 3 legged diabetic, tough as nails. LSU tailgater, out lived the entire litter. Cavaliers
are great dogs.

Dogs. Their most special respect is to lick our faces, but we know they drink from the toilet, lick dick and eat poo.
The big disconnect.

Oh please. What are you blubbering about. It’s a dog. Get another one, just like your Grandpa would do, minus all the theatrics and drama. You didn’t lose a child. Grow up.

Little jerk had an "I want to be held cry" like a baby does.

He waited til I was in public talking to someone. Then he would start whining. Louder and louder. FInally I would pick him up and cradle him. He immediately shut up but then started panting and smiling with that look saying he knew he got one over on me and I could do nothing about it.

You're a real tough guy, mocking a man's grief from behind an anonymous keyboard.

Real tough guy.

So the response is a picture of a murder of an innocent human? You need counseling or more life experience. If losing a dog is morally equivalent to murder, our future is in great hands with your lot.

Go to his house and hold hands with him while he cries.

Jesus. You must have never experienced the joy of a loyal dog. If you had, you would know how hard it is to say goodbye.

quote:

Nguy?n Van Lém (Vietnamese: [??i?n? van l??m]; 1931/1932 – 1 February 1968), often referred to as B?y L?p, was an officer of the Viet Cong in the rank of captain. He was summarily executed in Saigon during the Tet Offensive in the Vietnam War, when the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces launched a massive surprise attack. Before being captured, Lém had allegedly murdered South Vietnamese officer Nguy?n Tuân as well as six members of Tuân's family.
quote:

"He wasn't wearing a uniform and I can't respect a man who shoots without wearing a uniform. Because it's too easy: you kill and you're not recognized. I respect a North Vietnamese because he's dressed as a soldier, like myself, and so he takes the same risks as I do. But a Vietcong in civilian clothes - I was filled with rage."
quote:

Nguy?n Ng?c Loan died of cancer on 14 July 1998, aged 67, in Burke, Virginia. After his death, Adams praised him: "The guy was a hero. America should be crying. I just hate to see him go this way, without people knowing anything about him."

Eddie Adams wrote a eulogy to Loan in Time:
quote:

The general killed the Viet Cong; I killed the general with my camera. Still photographs are the most powerful weapon in the world. People believe them, but photographs do lie, even without manipulation. They are only half-truths. What the photograph didn't say was, "What would you do if you were the general at that time and place on that hot day, and you caught the so-called bad guy after he blew away one, two or three American soldiers?
