Anyone who has never had a dog friend just can’t understand the unconditional love involved. There may be some human relationships that reach that level but they require lots of work.

Not with dogs. They’re pure and effortless. I’m so glad I got to experience it. I know you are, too.

My Aussie is my friend and protector, who once saved my parents from severe injury. She's aged a lot this year, sadly.

I didn’t need a year off just to talk about my Dad after he died. I love dogs too but geez….

Lost mine 3 years ago. Not a day goes by I don't think about him. Doubt that will ever change.

Sorry about your dog. I have a 20 y/o dog that I wish would die. She sleeps most of the time, but has a pep in her step in the morning and has a voracious appetite. I cant put her down b/c I love her.

Oh please. What are you blubbering about. It’s a dog. Get another one, just like your Grandpa would do, minus all the theatrics and drama. You didn’t lose a child. Grow up.

That is some tough love advice. I remember being sad for awhile when my dog died until I realized just what you said is true and moved on. Enjoy your pet animals when they are here but don’t be sad for too long when they die.

I get what yall are saying, but dude is not looking for any advice. It's his tribute to his dog.
