When all of you guys bitch about guys getting "too political", Tom Morello is who you are talking about.
Good god. Can he go 30 fricking seconds without injecting something political into everything.
Couple that with the fact that he is a musician. Those guys (all of them) feel the need to impress you with their eclectic "deep cut" choices.
I love Pearl Jam but their station had two songs they'd introduce as "band favorites". Jeff Ament had a clip where he'd introduce Arctic Monkeys, while talking about how "angular" their latest record was. Stone Gossard sets up a Led Zepplin songs, so you think "alright". Then he proceeds to say how great they are/were before playing "In the Evening"!!! Really? Their whole catalog and you got that? I understand the need NOT to play Stairway, but do you have to try too hard to prove you are a musical "cork-sniffer".
Morello does this always. All while reminding you of the underserved and down trodden. Dude you play old Fenders. That 90% of your fans can't afford because they are vintage or USA made. While using labor from Indonesia, Mexico, and China to make their affordable ones.

Sirius XM has gotten borderline unlistenable. Presenters that talk too much and, like commercial radio, playing the same song/artists over and over and over.

Morello gets a lot of love from Springsteen in particular. But he is nowhere near the songwriter that Springsteen is or guitarist for that matter ( Springsteen is underrated in that category). He compensates with his political overtones and technically he relies on distortion and footpedal work to make up for the fact that he is average at best. There is nothing clean about his play or all that imaginative.

I read a while back that he and Vince Vaughn are good friends. Vaughn says the never talk politics, and Morello never cares that he's a conservative. I found that interesting, because the dude takes every moment to berate us with his communist bullshite, but he doesn't bring that nonsense into his friendships. In a time where marriages are ending due to different political views I did find this kind of refreshing.

I tried listening to his show once. Made it through a minute of his soapbox monologue of his ideology and supposed knowledge of music. I’ve heard more impressive dumps in airports than that shite he was spewing.
