When I went there in the early 90s, there was a running joke that he was stealing from the school because he had a new Mercedes almost every year. Also, our big incident: a kid who had previously been expelled set the high school building on fire right before the school year started.

7th grade kid shot his dad with 4 different guns. Come to find out he was molesting him and taping it.
Vice Principal held hostage by a gunman. Every student was taken to the gym (dumb looking back on it, sitting ducks). This went on for 3 hours. When the LEOs finally got the dude to surrender first thing he said/yelled was that he was never going to hurt anyone he just wanted to make sure he got enough attention to let everyone know that the Pentecostal preacher molested him several times on hunting trips when he was young. This caused a huge rift in the town and the church eventually split into two factions. Accused preacher died less than a year after the accusations of a heart attack.

Star quarterback got paralyzed after tackling the guy who caught his interception. While he was in the hospital, QBs girlfriend hooked up with QBs best friend, and It got messy. QB somewhat recovered and played wheelchair rugby. Girl became psycho.

JR high band someone held a drumstick under a guy as he was sitting. kid sat on drumstick and pretty sure it ripped through his intestines.
We never questioned the physics required for that to happen at the time but now typing that out I’m not sure how that worked.

In 1976, we had a racially motivated fight in the senior home room class that met in the Farmerville High auditorium. It happened after a black guy flirted with a white girl. White guys fought black guys in the auditorium, and after the fight was broken up by the teachers/coaches that ran down the hall when one of the ladies in the principal's office got on the intercom, and frantically called for the principal to come to the auditorium. My homeroom teacher left our class and helped break the fight up.
After the fight in the auditorium, both groups of fighters were in the principal's office being talked to. One kid threw another kid through the plate glass window between the principal's office and the outer office. Pretty sure the city police were in there for that, but no charges were filed.
The most controversial thing that came from it was the next morning, when the principal had a guy from each side say the fight wasn't because of race. They claimed it was just football players fighting basketball players. Everyone knew it was a lie. Three of the "Basketball players" played football too. They were just so afraid of having racial problems, they'd say anything to keep any discussion about that being a real thing that they had to deal with. We didn't have a prom. Instead we had a Senior Banquet, where we all sat together for dinner in the school cafeteria. In an effort to promote racial harmony, we also had a set of white class favorites, and a set of black class favorites. We did the same with the homecoming court.

One guy got caught dealing on campus and kicked out.
One guy was known for flashing his junk and did it in front of one particular girl which got him withdrawn by the end of the day.
Three rising seniors were in a bad car accident that ended up killing one girl and hurting her boyfriend and best friend, who was driving.
Had the school business manager busted for trying to do a gay hookup in Forest Park and got fired. His replacement did an audit that got the headmaster to resign over embezzlement.
One guy got kicked out, ended up at Woodlawn, and joined a gang. He subsequently was part of killing someone in a gang-related fight.
And one guy killed his mom and tried to kill his dad after getting kicked out, which he claimed was due to spitting in a Bible.
