That pizza looked like a 6.8. What would be a 10?

My favorite pizza is Pizza Man in Covington.

How does Red Zeppelin compare to Pizza Man in Covington?

RZ’s regular pizza pales in comparison to Schlitz and Giggles, they have what I consider the best specialty pizza in existence.

The El Diablo… enchilada pizza from heaven

ETA: I still miss Reginellis northgate. They nerfed the menu because kids wouldn’t pay a little extra for quality, then closed because the cheap menu sucked.

I can’t say I’ve ever had a slice from S&G whilst sober.

Rocca probably has the best argument for maybe being better

I didn’t until we had a kid

Cheap slices, half order knots, and a couple domestic drafts is a hell of a deal.

The pizza is nothing to write home about though

Haven’t tried Rocca

My top 3 were always S&G, Reginellis, FDL, and that one pizza from RZ

Always thought Rotolos was the most overrated place in town. I genuinely would rather eat Hungry Howies sober.

All I know is being able to walk from B&T or Happys at 1:45am and get a slice from the to go window on 3rd street was clutch as hell.

We used to go to Red Zeppelin every Wednesday night in college for cheap beer and pizza then walk to the Bulldog for pint night. Good fricking times. I like Red Zeppelin though. Pretty good pizza and calzones.

That place had a complete over haul since I’ve been there. It’s the place by the overpass off Perkins? I remember it as some place in a tent with shite pizza and shite beer selections, but generous sloots working there. Maybe my memory is fuzzy from a decade ago.

Woke up a few times when I was in BR with a giant S&G box next to my bed or on the coffee table. No recollection of eating it. Good times.

what is his range for scores?

Anything above a 7 is usually pretty good. Above an 8 gets to very good and above a 9 is elite territory.

His preference is New Haven style pizza so his scores are skewed to that.

NOLA Pizza Co and Zee's in New Orleans were the two highest he's rated around here. Both around a 7.8. He wanted to give Zee's over an 8 after the second slice, since it was from a different pie, but stuck with his original score.

Poor Dave got lured to Red Zeppelin. Place doesn’t even make fresh dough. Have some pride in your food. Frozen dough from Sysco. Can’t be even considered the best if you don’t make fresh dough imo.
