It may be possible that LSU could win out, win the west and win the SEC championship and not get in the playoffs. I know that sounds weird, but what if Ga beats Tenn in a close game for the east, and Tenn becomes a one loss team. LSU beats Ga in a close game in SECCG, so Ga becomes a one loss team. Will the committee take a two loss LSU team over a one loss team in Tenn that hammered LSU and Ga? I don't know that answer. I know this is a huge assumption that LSU could even win out, I don't think it is a given that the SEC champion gets in, but maybe it is.

Any undefeated or 1-loss conference champion would be given priority. Our main competition would be from the loser of UGA/UT, assuming they win out with just that loss, and don't win the division. But of course, we'll have to get there first.

Texas was a field goal from beating them. TexasA&M was a touchdown from beating them. Tennessee did beat them. I think this team has more than a sucker punch chance of beating them at home on a dark Saturday night.

CBK winning the west in his first year wasn't something anyone would have thought possible 6 months ago.

It wasn’t something anyone would have thought possible 3 weeks ago even. The turnaround this team has made is incredible.

Don't even worry about it, because it's not happening. Not this year. To beat Bama you have to play fast and lights out from the start. Nothing in the past couple of weeks has convinced me this team will do that

Yeah I agree.

But as fans, we have to let ourselves believe while we still can.

The Tigers are going to beat Bama like a drum and they are going to the SEC Championship.

We've talked about this very situation in previous years, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 come to mind.

And except for the magical Joe Burrow 2019 campaign, the Tigers have come up short each time vs Bama leaving the team and the fans with simply a gridiron full of remainders.

Don't align your ducks before they hatch.

A&M will beat Ole Miss this week

I second that emotion. Ole Miss is down and out after last week's effort and Jimbo always comes through when you least expect it-- cf Bama last year.

Ole Miss is not going to lay down after a surprise arse whooping in Death Valley. This is a well coached ball club with talent. Aggy is not, loses bigly.

Ole Miss can beat tAmu. Bama will need to ally to give them a loss.

We’re not beating Bama. You have to be sound in all three phases of the game to do that and LSU special teams will let us down.

They probably will but as hard as it is to do, we should be pulling for aTm at this point.

We need Ole Miss to look even more like fool's gold this year to help us against them in recruiting and in the portal, and we need Aggie to finish as strong as possible from their current implosion to make it harder for them to pull the ripcord on Jimbo.

Slightly disagree here. I would think a stronger Bama that only loses to us and Tenn helps us. Maybe a stronger Ole Miss but I feel like the Bama perception holds more weight

Pretty sure Aggie has crashed and is burning as we speak. No need to wait to witness that one.

'The Media' projected aTm to make the CFP's.

aTm admins have got to be paying off the media to post such news as this.

The argument can definitely be made for LSU in this game.

Alabama has not always played well on the road in the last two seasons. They also lack the deep threat they've enjoyed for the last several seasons.
LSU now has the type of QB that typically gives Alabama fits.
LSU certainly has a coaching staff that knows how to make halftime adjustments.
And although the roster is filled with many different names this season, it can't be ignored that LSU was a TD away from beating them last season- a TD they came very close to getting.

This season, the Tigers appear to be peaking at the very best time. I love the spot we are in.

Bama-LSU is a de facto division title game, as it always should be.

I’m stunned that we’re even in the hunt right now.
