Idk sons, may be better off trading the number one overall pick for some bench help.

you make it work.

Plus he is a +defender with a 3 pt shot. He fits next to literally every player in the league

Yeah, Victor is a natural Jonas replacement whenever his extension expires.

Plus, you can never go wrong getting as much grade A talent as you can get on 4 year rookie salary deals.

Once his rookie deal is up, we are probably off of CJ by then, plus the cap will be higher.

Victor is both a good basketball fit and timeline fit for the Pelicans.

Have you never watched Wembanyama play? The kid is a perimeter oriented big. He can develop into a dominant low post scorer but his current style of play is perfect for the modern NBA.

I see what you did but I'm going to take this opportunity to say rookie Victor will be what we hoped Prime Jax would be. His floor is Jax's ceiling and that's pretty crazy to think about.

No shite... it was sarcasm.

I thought the bench shooting thing made it obvious.

Honestly cool with Vic or Scoot if we have a chance. Curious to see where the college guys fall as well over the course of the season.

This gem was posted yesterday:

Aging Lebron James could be traded for Victor Wembenyama

The funniest part is that I have trouble thinking of a team that would trade #1 overall for Lebron James in 2023. If it happened, I would immediately call that GM a moron.

incorrect. we have the swap this year and the Lakers unprotected pick outright in 2024, which has an option to be deferred to 2025

Why would we trade the 1st pick back to them for Lebron? It doesn’t make sense.

If we actually got Victor the question wouldn't be can we win a championship. It would be how many?
