A great day is going out in my Captain American uniform to the comic book store to score some new Funko Pops to add to my collection then heading to Mcdonald's for an "adult" happy meal only to top the day off by watching the latest episode She-Hulk with my wife and her boyfriend.

100% better than watching LSU beat Florida.

2 extremes stout.

Obviously, one of those is a superfan wearing a ridiculous outfit and watching the object of their affection just getting drilled for hours by fit young men and cries afterwards.

The other just likes marvel a bit too much

Question: does what other people choose to wear affect you in any way?

I am a big proponent of live and let live but it's hard to deny that what rondo said ITT isn't true. There are large groups of men that refuse to leave their childhood behind.

If you’re a mom/dad who has a kid who loves Hulk, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc, it’s fun for them to see you wearing what they think is awesome. Personally I prefer to usually just wear around the house. Lots of parents reach a point where they just don’t care to be out in public with it on. They can definitely be worn without being a total weirdo

Getting mad about what other dudes wear in their own home, just laying around the house, screams insecurity.

Oh no doubt there’s truth to that.

But it usually falls apart when you take your personal favorites out the mix.

Sure, you can juxtapose mr. Funko pop and she hulk against LSU vs Florida. That’s a no brainer.

But is it just sports in general over typical nerd fare?

Would you rather watch women’s soccer, or play some Dungeons and Dragons with friends for an afternoon? It might be nerdy but I’m rolling dice in that scenario.

If you gave me a choice between watching nascar or playing board games, I’m going Board games every time.

It’s not always cut and dry. And I’d be more inclined to tease someone that liked women’s soccer versus lord of the Rings. But I’m biased.

What kind of grown man would ever enjoy things like “super heroes” AND sports?

Would you have this take in front of these two guys? Or any number of athletes who reference superhero fandom?

While there is absolutely that group, it's always existed. Instead of complaining about them liking superhero movies, people complained about them still going out to the bars and getting drunk all the time. While they look different on the surface, both have at their core a concern that the individual isn't "serious" enough.

Who said I was mad? I'm just observing what I saw, and was a but surprised there were that many men into wearing little boys clothes.

Seeing so many bald men with man boobs wearing Avengers shirts at least gives me hope of my family being able to outsurvive these tards if there is an apocalypse scenario.

Probably a fairly normal one? I enjoy some comic book stuff and I’m a huge LSU football fan and enjoy LSU baseball as well.

Couldn’t care less about MLB though and I’d rather watch David Lynch’s Dune than a MLB game.

Or starship troopers.

But I’m pretty sure that most people are like that in some way.

This obviously acceptable if it's with your kids and having fun. But grown men without kids wearing it, is a little weird it seems, but to each their own.

Congratulations on waking up from that 15-year coma. Your legs must be horribly atrophied. To answer your question, yes, grown arse folks are wearing comic book clothes all the time and slapping Star Wars-themed bumper stickers on their vehicles. In related news, everything else is going to shite, too.

He didn't say it affected him. He asked a question. You sound hurt by that question.

The funny thing about this thread is that name “Burger Bearcat” sounds like a third tier superhero

He was a mild mannered short order cook until a radioactive bearcat escaped from a lab and jumped through the drive through window at him and plunged them both into the deep fryer.

As their DNA combined in that vat of grease he became BURGER BEARCAT!!!

With his Spatula of Doom, and the power of the Bearcat, he’ll make sure his enemies are WELL DONE.

His nemesis, Overly Enthusiastic Superhero Fan, will stop at nothing to annoy him by dressing in the clothes of his choosing.

Will BURGER BEARCAT be able to stop this menace!? STAY TUNED!

This reminds me of the grown men who go see every Marvel movie, and not with their kids.
