But at least they didn’t back down

Same answer as the Thomas TD.
The call on the field matters most. There was not enough clear and convincing evidence to overturn either call.
I feel like the SEC office enjoys making the call that keeps the game alive. Seen it too many times.

I did as well.

I felt there wasn’t enough evidence to reverse the call

I hate the rule. Any other ball carrier the ball gets punched out it’s a fumble. It should be same for a QB, even if the arm is moving forward.

All I know is that closing speed Perkins has is amazing
Best since Ali Highsmith

Ali Highsmith & his 4.9 speed

Neither call should have been overturned but the sec office can’t help themselves
It’s pathetic

OK, I should probably modify it to closing anticipation and capability and success

That being said, the Roughing Penalty on the INT was a pretty BS call as well.

Sorry to disagree that that wasn’t close to me, it was 100% a fumble the hand went forward without the ball, the ball left his hand in the backward motion.
WHAT’s COMPLETELY bullshite IS THAT THEY MADE THE RIGHT CALL ON THE GD FIELD, and the standard for review is what call is wrong by clear and convincing evidence, no way in mfering hell did all the video show that since we are still discussing it.
We need some serious changes in SEC and really NCAA officials. We need full time non conference affiliated officials.
This shite is beyond ridiculous

Yeah bad call. Rule is the hand moving forward..not the arm. Ref said the arm when announcing the call and then mid call corrected himself to say the hand was moving forward.

Now that we’ve won, I do Kinda think it was the right call…

Yea, he landed full weight, and I was surprised it wasn't looked at for targeting honestly. Devin White was ejected for less than that.

I couldn’t believe that was not a fumble and neither could the Florida players b/c they basically gave up on offenses right after the fumble was overturned.
Posted on 10/16/22 at 11:38 am to OTIS2
It was a lateral pass...if it wasn’t a fumble...
Posted on 10/16/22 at 11:38 am to OTIS2
It was close, but the ruling on the field was a fumble; with no conclusive evidence, the call should have stood.
Posted on 10/16/22 at 11:40 am to OTIS2
The way Perkins closed on him was unreal

Was that a bullshite call ?
Hell no - it was clearly a forced fumble. The ball never moved one inch forward before contact. His empty hand was moving forward after the ball came loose.
Posted on 10/16/22 at 11:42 am to OTIS2
40 knocked the ball out of his hand and then hit the arm. It was fumble, he hit the nose of the football while it was in his hand. It was called a fumble and then reversed when there was no clear evidence to overturn it. BS.
