He allowed 0 pressures last week. His run blocking was a really high level. We need to see it consistently but this is the first time we have seen him capable of playing at a NFL starter level. Hopefully he continues because we can’t be bad at both guards.

He really needs to pan out so the Saints can move on from Peat and slide Hurst inside when Penning comes back.

I called him as a draft pick and I'm not scared to stick with him.

He's going to be a Jahri Evans type OLman for the Saints when it's all said and done.

This is the solution.

I'm happy he's turned a corner, but I hope he doesn't get paid top 5 guard money because of it..

He has marginally improved and I’m rooting for him. He did play well last game and iirc game against Falcons played well. If he can turn it on and Penning eventually pans out we can have a really good Oline for the future. McCoy is still young but needs to take the next step

I remember Jahri Evans doing an interview during camp that he thought Ruiz would really improve this year. Said he's been dealt a tough hand since entering the league.

Would be a best case scenario

The best guard in the history of New Orleans?
I like your optimism, but god damn

Carl Nicks was better. Unfortunately, we lost Nicks in free agency to Tampa & his career was cut short due to a staph infection in his foot.

I hope this is some kind of joke.

Al Woods threw him to the side on one play...I don't think Ruiz even made contact before it happened.

He's garbage. You are in denial.

He’s drastically improved because he was just bad last season

He was absolutely awful against the Falcons. Awful.

I don’t think he’s given up a pressure since though. He may have had 1 vs Al woods in the passing game but I think that was more on McCoy who fell down

He did, and then we ran it down their throats the rest of the game and used him to lead the way on a lot of those runs. He did a great job when pulling

He cleared the outside pulling on Taysom’s long run

He hasn’t allowed a pressure in the passing game since week 1 when the entire oline was shitting the bed.

He’s been far from garbage since then.

I’ll concede, I know he had another good game besides the last one though. Apparently not against the Falcons. I do remember now, the entire Oline looked bad against them

He’s played well the last few weeks. If you are denying this then you may be in denial. Don’t be an idiot

We certainly need him to pan out and be a solid if not borderline pro bowler. Peat only has a few years left, if 2, and we can't keep drafting OL in first round.
